I had gone into the store to look at the hoodies around 2:30 p.m. and I would of bought one if the zippers didn't suck so much ... anyways after buying one of the ugliest t-shirt and a mason jar later I bail on the bottle line as it was deep and the math didn't work out to getting good stuff. Glad I left for home when I did as traffic got really bad near NJ/NY.

Great weekend, super awesome people at Tired Hands, great trades, and amazing food. Will be back again in the future 100%.

Did they mention anything of how long they think it will take them to perhaps have a constant supply of HopHands, or whatever (i.e. it will be rare if they run out) at the General Store? I'd imagine that is part of the vision but I have not spoken to Jean regarding this.

Surprised to see that Virga got a shoutout from Paste as one of the best beers at the Firestone Walker Invitational. Not bad by any means, but there's a whole slew of funky saisons from Tired Hands that I'd put ahead of it. I guess that's a good thing?

My sister lives close to Tired Hands. I've never had anything by them, so I want to see if she can grab me a growler (preferably cans...) and bring it down with her when she comes to visit for fathers day. I'd like to try and get HopHands or an IPA.

How difficult of a task would this be for her because I don't want her to be caught waiting in some line for a special release or something like that. Is the place normally an insane shit show every weekend?

    Thanks guys!

Growlers are easy, it is rare that beers are not available for growler fills (needs to be a Tired Hands branded growler they are 5 for both sizes and they trade other people's for theirs). Hop hands cans will be available at the new general store, not sure how long they will last yet or how quickly they sell out since it is very new. Any other cans usually are more difficult to obtain and could require standing in line or showing up the day of release later on if it makes it to the bar. Keep an eye on Instagram

It would be super easy for her to get a growler of HopHands, which is always on tap, or any other IPA they have on tap. The only difficulty would be cans or if they were doing milkshake growlers, which in my opinion are not as good as their regular non-sweetened IPAs.

Thanks guys. I'd prefer cans, because obviously they keep longer than a growler does.

I'll need to check out their web page and Instagram, but does anyone know if they will have cans of HopHands this Friday?

Don't know about Friday, but they are getting cans of hop hands at the general store today, it is 2 doors down from the brew cafe. Might be a 4 pack limit, but they haven't said yet

It hasn't come up but I guess they are regrouping and not dropping cans today?

So i will be in my philly office tomorrow (Thurs) and hope to be done by 3 or so. I see from website that the brewpub opens at 4pm. What will they have? Just growler fills? If so, will they fill any growler, any size?

The Fermentaria will be open at noon, and the Brew Cafe opens at 4:00. The Brew Cafe has a smaller, yet more "diverse" / experimental tap list. They also have a smaller food list that caters more to the panini, bread plates, pickles, etc. The Fermentaria usually has an overwhelming majority of IPAs and Saisons on-tap, and has a bigger food list (think tacos, wings, burgers). Both fill growlers of either 32 oz or 64 oz Tired Hands branded growlers. They will swap out a non-Tired Hands growler for you if you bring one, though. They're also both about 2 blocks apart so if you have the time, go to both locations if you've never been before.
