I recall someone from the brewery mentioning it costs them around $10-11 to brew Todd, so you then add some $ to distributors, not sure how much it can drop. I think Sam's/Costco has the cheapest prices around $13.50 or so

There is absolutely no way it costs Surly $10-11 to brew a four pack of Todd. That's less than what stores pay the distributor for Todd. From what I've been told by friends who brew professionally on 10 barrel systems a 16oz pint of beer costs between 89-92 cents to brew depending on the ingredients being used. The vast majority of that cost is labor. With Surly brewing 100 barrel batches, and buying ingredients in bulk they are surely making Todd for much less than 89-92 cents a pint (or $3.56-3.68 a four pack).

I meant to say $10-11 is about what stores pay for Todd.

I'm going to be in town for a wedding on Saturday and would love to try to get a bottle of Pappy and/or Vanilla Rye for the groom (he's both a huge bourbon and BCBS guy). Since I can't see the whole flier, I'm having a hard time figuring out the timing of all of this. Are they opening at 6 AM? If not, what exactly is happening at 6? Feel free to just send me a link to wherever I can find more info. Thanks!

Pulled that from their Facebook page. Doesn't say anything about any beer specials, just the whiskey and bourbon.

If Pentagram were $12 a bottle I would buy a lot more. Drinking Eleven right now. It's meh, probably won't be buying anymore. If this years Darkness isn't as good as it has been I might be done with Surly.

Unless something changes tomorrow, they are planning on doing first come first serve for VR and everything else. It is 1pp for everything, so the cellar sale could end pretty quick.
    Yes.

Perhaps it speaks to the relative success of the beer but just saw some 4-packs of Summit 30th Anniversary Barleywine for $3.99 on the clearance shelves at Total Wine in Eagan.
