Just saw this on the shelves today. $25 a bottle. Sounds tasty but that price tag might be a roadblock for me.

I'm done with these woodcuts, none of them were worth the asking price period

that's the majority of the beers odell's sells in bombers.

I like some of their other stuff in bombers, less ridciously priced. I just haven't really seen any beer worth that asking price per ounce. I've paid it a few times just to scratch an itch, but I can get great Barrel aged beers for $10 a bomber (Schafly) or less, so I just can't see where they think their stuff is that worthy

Had it at the brewery, much more economic, very good!

When? I imagine recently...but recent enough that if I go on Thursday or Friday they will still have it you think?

I have yet to try any of these Woodcut offerings, but this one has me intrigued...just not $25 intrigued.

Yeah, that's a whole different deal at the brewery. Sadly I'm not sure when I'll be back in the CO, let alone Ft. Collins

Yeah, I live in Colorado and it's hard to want to pay 15 dollars for their experimental wheat ales or whatever when I can pay half that for oak aged yeti, even beers like parabola are cheaper and they come in cool boxes.

How would you describe the mosaic hops?

I thought they added a nice tropical floral aspect to the beer that paired with the toasted oak character quite well. Really nice blend of tropical fruit flavors.

Had one of the #4 recently not bad but by no means $25 worthy, maybe $15.

One of my local shops cleared out all their #4 and #5 recently for $18 a bottle, had maybe a case of #4 left and about 2 cases of #5 so clearly a sign it sells at $25 a pop. I won't be diving in to this, my #4 I got from my brother as a gift absolutely worth that price.

Always wanted to try, but I too can see myself spend the money for one bottle. One thing you guys should checkout is the article Zymurgy did on Woodcut #1 - #6 (at least I hope it was zymurgy...I read a lot of beer magazines do correct me if I'm wrong). They opened all six and did a taste testing with detailed notes, very interesting read. It was probably the article that made me not want to drop the $ to see how they tasted for myself.

Were I closer and still in Denver I'd have been tempted to take you up on that. Gonna probably just hit their taproom up now that I know they got it on tap there and its only a few minutes away

Do they do growwler fills up there? I want to get some of that peach pilsner they've been touting.

I'll do what I usually do with the Woodcut series, buy one and be done. I did heavily favour the No. 2.
