Silhoutte, Animal Balloon and King Wavy are ridiculously good. After having Infinity Pool on tap at A&C Friday and seeing the nice weather Sunday, went for a hike and stopped into the brewery afterwards on Sunday. No issues finding it with plugging address into GPS, so maybe the issues people had finding it earlier in this thread have been resolved. Any cans from them would definitely be summer beach crushers so hoping they do that soon

If anyone sees Adult World around do NOT hesitate to grab a glass or three. Astoundingly delicious.

Going this Saturday. Stoked. Any other new/recent info not on this thread / their website / social media?

I recently had both Adult World and Silhouette back to back. Adult world was absolutely delicious. Though I preferred the Silhouette as the fruit flavor was so natural and melded perfectly with the tartness of the beer. I mean here is a soir beer that's not overly sweet with fruit, but that has a distinctive fruit flavor. Perfect balance and hands down my favorite from Hudson Valley so far. Awesome stuff.

Stopped here yesterday for the first time...one of several Hudson River valley stops for me. Had Pillow Hat, a chardonnay barrel saison that's name escapes me at the moment, and Infinity Pool. Agree with above that the crowler prices are a little steep but enjoyed my experience for sure! Being that I was on the road all day I stuck to 4 oz pours but look forward to engaging with their beers again some day!

I visited last night as well after going to Dia. I had Incandenza, Kinds of Light (aged with Chardonay grape skins), and Re-up. I also tried some of Infinity Pool which my gf got. We got a crowler of King Wavy for the train back.

I liked their ipas(more similar to Grimm than anything super hazy), but their sours (most of which I'd had at bars around the city before) are so good and probably the best in the ny area at this point.

It seemed like their tap room is still a work in progress, or maybe what'd you'd expect with fairly limited hours. The bar itself is really nice, but otherwise there's a long table, some upright barrels and maybe eight chairs and two benches scattered around. It just needs some barstools.

Also Stock Up was a great spot to get food and beers beforehand.

hvb has been killing it with the hoppy sours but plan bee at their best is pretty hard to beat. incandenza is amazing but give me brush hog over that any day.

in terms of consistency it may be a different story tho, excited to see where hvb goes in the future. animal balloon, silhouette and adult world were all great.

Is the place still hard to find? I plan to stop by tomorrow before heading up to Hunter.

No...There's more signage by the road now, and they're drawing some decent size crowds now, so people will be outside hanging out, weather permitting. Just find the Churchill Street public parking lot...it's right there.

We're going to be in the area and are thinking of stopping by since my wife is really into sours.

Does anyone know what the parking situation is like at the brewery and how big their space is? We're going to have our 6 month old with us, so we'll probably pass if it's elbow to elbow.

    Craft Improvisation

"The majority of the beer that we make isn't intended to stand on its own…It's not a singular, linear process where you start with a recipe and follow a series of steps and end up with a finished product, where there's a clear line from beginning to end in terms of process and ingredients."

"So rather than brewing specific recipes, they brew different threads, intended to be woven together in new ways to create unique tapestries."

Some many great breweries popping up outside NYC. I've gotta make a trip up their sometime. Cheers.

Stopped in at The Growler last night on Stone St in the FiDi and they had Couple Bands on tap..being that this was the first beer I've had from Hudson Valley, I came away fairly impressed..fresh and crisp with some nice delicate citrus tones...drank 4 glasses:grinning:

Do these guys usually have more sours/wild ales on tap? I sold making the stop to my wife based on this place being known for their sours, but it looks like they currently only have Isosceles and then a bunch of IPAs on tap. I've heard plenty of good things about Isosceles, at least.

When they first opened the tasting room, they had mostly sours...like 5 out of 7 taps. I guess it's ever evolving.

Maybe timing and rotation; focusing on a particular style at a given time per the given equipment, space, capacity, barrels…I’m sure will see some impromptu, creative wilds soon
