I don't need anymore beer in my basement, but if I see it at that price in Roseville I'd have to pick some up. It's a nice beer and a steal at that price.

 

Agreed 100%. Not something I'd go out of my way for but it wasn't much extra effort to reach down to the shelf and pick it up as I was walking past.

Stopped by TW Roseville and asked about the release tomorrow. 1 case of VR, 1-2 cases BCBCS, 1-2 cases Darkness and BA Darkness, 3 cases BCBS. They may limit beers to pick one from Surly plus one from Goose Island, etc. but haven't finalized plans completely.

There is around 60 or so people in line at Total Wine - Roseville.

 

There were easily 100 plus people in line at 6am Burnsville

 

I know this is beeradvocate, but if I didn't have a 10 month old I would of been in line and it would have nothing to do w VR.

 

I definitely saw a couple strollers there haha

 

I could never see myself waiting in line that long for beer. And I love beer.

 

I called TW Roseville last night at about 8pm and they said people were starting to line up.

 

Of the people that lined up last night, I think only one got bourbon and it was the 10 or 12. The rest got VR.

 

What time did you have to get there to guarantee a VR? Midnight?

 

This might be the wrong place to ask, but I'm just so damn curious now after not getting Pappy today. Are there bars in the area that have bottles? I'd pay upwards of $60 for even a shot worth of 20 or 23. Hell, I'd pay damn near that for the 12 even. I saw it at the Nova once a couple years back before I knew what it was.

man the bottles of 12 I have cost $65 back in 2012. Might have to start selling shots.

 

Pay attention to Ace Spirits' social media they will do vertical tastings of Pappy usually 1-2x a year. It's the most cost effective way to try it.

 

Out of curiosity did anyone on BA score any of the Bourbon or VR at Total, or know how much the bottles were going for?

 

Town hall had 12 in the spring and I paid $20 or so. I've paid $75 for 23 at mannys.
