Is it weird that 2X4 is still my favorite among them?

Did that with DFH 120 several years ago - got a 4-pack on my birthday, had one that day, then one more on my birthday each of the next 3 years. As stated, get more of malt character and bitter finish intensified losing some of the floral/herbal character.

If that's weird, then you can call me Odd McWeirdy. Asterisk and Shaolin gave it a run for its money, but I also agree that 2X4 is my fave of all of their Imperial IPAs. I think 2X4 is one of the two or three best beers of that style that you can find anywhere in the world right now.

Agree. I drank 2 of the Waldo's and gave the other 4 to my buddy who loves Big boozy beers..

I did have a small taste of the Lambda at Romero's last month and it was quite tasty without the boozy alcohol like Waldo's

When I had 2x4 at GABF I was blown away. Then when I had it from the can when it first hit Colorado It just didn't stick out like it had on draft. Maybe I need to revisit it?

All this talk of these beers. The only one's I've seen here in GJ is Melvin, 2x4, Citradamus, Killer Bees, and Huebert. Why not other's? It sucks.

    Cheers!

Citradamus --- still my favorite of the bunch (though I haven't tried Lambda yet)

Really intrigued by the thought of a Double or Triple Hubert, as @tylerstravis alluded to.

You live in a town of 60k people through an entire Mountain Range and you get distro of those awesome beers. I'd be pretty happy.

Picked up a 4 pack of the Lambda a 6 of Hubert and 6 of the IPA. Think I'm set the Hubert 5/1/17 is tasting excellent

Lambda was a bit much for me... too big, but not surprisingly. I ended up taming her down with a Hubert.... giving birth to Lambert :grinning:

    Haha that's a good one.

Asterisk wins for me. It seemed a little bit less boozy/malty. Citradamus is next. Lamda is just too much booze, but I'm sure people will love it.

I picked up a sixer of 4/20ish canned Hubert yesterday as it was by far the best option in the store. I was amazed how fresh the hops were still. So potent and defined. Reminded me how much I really love that beer. For me Hubert is my favorite Melvin beer. Just don't want to drink that many 9% beers anymore. Would love to see another hoppy option (or two or three) in that 6.6-7.5% range. For my taste buds that's the kill zone.

Did just find Dready Copper on tap at an Albertsons in Idaho and grabbed a growler. Been a while since I had it, psyched to try it again.
