Probably be packed, but the crowd and tenders are top notch....moreso the latter than the former.

How is it 8:30 and no line chatter/updates? Could this be the day I roll up at 2PM and score DDH DMD?

Out of curiosity... what is the line situation right now?

Don't understand why, but I'm here and there is no line at all. I'm drinking in the taproom now and that's not packed either. My favorite other half experience so far.

So there is a solid chance of picking up a few four packs of DDH DMD on Sunday? Never had it before and I'm not in the city today.

In and out in under 2 minutes. I have tasted the future (I hope).

I was thinking same thing, maybe we have hit the Other Half sweet spot. Double batches mostly mean it is easy to get the beer. I rolled in there at 11:30, no line, loaded up on DDH DMD and as an extra bonus got more of Still Shinin from LAST week. Filled a growler and was in and out of there in 5 minutes.

Yea that was great. Biking home in 80 degree heat to crown heights with 3 4 packs in my backpack was not so great

I have done that ride many times before with aforementioned 3 4-packs. I quite enjoyed it. No bridges to cross and bike lanes to ride. The sweating beer helped cool me down.

Sure I'm biased because I canned it, but this batch of DDH DMD is tasting nice.

Picked up some Still Shinin last night before meeting my gf at Ikea. She picked up a couple of these which kept the beers cold before getting back home:

Found last canning of DMD in the depth of my fridge this am. Wonder how that's held up...

Only one way to find out. Do a blind taste test of old vs new.

Doing a side by side with two of the best Mosaic beers out there, DDH DMD and Trillium DDH Melcher Street. DDH DMD has an awesome smell, better than DDH Melcher Street. DDH Melcher Street drier and more bitter. DDH DMD sweeter and smoother. Love both of these beers, think I would give DDH DMD the nod.

Bigger question, has OH eclipsed Trillium? I love both breweries.

Not sure that's a totally fair comparison, if only because DDH DMD is an 8.5% DIPA while DDH Melcher is a 7.2% IPA. The amplified sweetness and aromatic intensity of the former vs. dryness and bitterness of the latter should follow given stylistic differences and intentions.

That being said, having had a bunch of recent OH and Trillium without a specific head-to-head comparison in mind, I would say any claims that one brewery is producing "better" hoppy beer than the other likely come down to personal/palate preferences for each brewery's signature flavors and styles. I don't think the argument can be made than either is objectively better than the other, which seems to be good news for OH!
