I dont think there was a guarantee, thought tickets were all for lottery/chance at a purchase?

VR was going to be $50 and was going to the first 12 people in line that wanted it.

Gwill in Brooklyn park as of last night. For what it's worth, I thought it was quite good, if not the same as the several times I had it at the brewery.

I called them before posting and they didn't even know of Lupulin. Then looked it up and said they had Blissful Ignorance. Their weekend crew is a little lacking.

Yikes, I obviously can't say for sure it's still there but there was a lot last night and they also had a bunch of the apricot one, so if they said they only had BI I'd bet that's wrong.

The bottle of van Winkle 12 I got at Roseville was $99.

I actually thought it was a well run event and not a huge time investment. It was certainly worth it for me, but YMMV. Everyone who got in line by 0600 at Roseville had about a 50/50 shot or so of getting a chance to buy a bottle of bourbon. Pretty good odds for a van Winkle lottery.

Thanks for the reply! I had a dream that my wife gave me approval to go to Total Wine and I woke up at 5:15, but ultimately decided against going. It sounds like it would have been a good opportunity, maybe next time.

Van Winkle 23 was 125/oz at butcher and the boar.
Old rip and van Winkle reserve we're 30-35/oz.

It was probably much later than that. I got there at 5:30 and I was probably only 8 people back from VR. If you got selected for bourbon, you went to the end of line, so you couldn't get VR. A lot of people also left after the raffle because they were only there for bourbon.
I second this. They are small pours, but you get to try everything and it's very reasonably priced.
I think I heard that PVW 15 was $140 and PVW 20 was $210. The unassigned numbers being drawn in the raffle was a minor annoyance, but it went very smoothly for there first event like this and the format was fair. My fiancé got a 12 and I got a BCBCS, so it was definitely worth waking up for in my opinion.

It makes my decision to buy a bottle of 06 Thomas Handy look like a good bet. Also, when TW Roseville opened - I just walked in and found a bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle 10year just sitting there. No waiting - no upcharge.

Glad it was well run, you did well but still no guarantees no matter when you got in line as @Mista asked.

I got a bottle of Old Rip 10 year at Burnsville. $85. It was very well run.
