I dont disagree with this at all BTW. Not that what I think matters all that much, just a fun discussion.

I actually really like their logo. I want to get my hands on a couple of their teku's.

The label wouldn't worry me at all since I'm not trading with anyone. I'm sure they will enhance the labels when they have time away from actually brewing and packaging their product.

I think if had any graphic design experience I would actually volunteer my time to help them design some label templates instead of complaining about it on the internet. Who knows, you could maybe score a few free cases, and add it to your work experience portfolio.

I was keeping my mouth shut on this thread for a while but your post is what I find most problematic about their labels. Yeah their logo is great which is why I'm so disappointed in the labels, but what does a good label have to do with trading?

You expect designers to work for free? Every local brewery I know of pays a designer or agency. These brewers treat their beer like art, clearly so does everyone trading and talking about them on the internet, so hiring an artist to give the beer the respect it deserves is part of owning a brewery. If you care about your work don't you want someone else to as well?

One of the best breweries in the world started off with some crappy looking labels.

It's Eq's first canning run. I'm sure they've heard the feedback by now.

I think there's an old saying, "If you don't have anything negative to say, don't say anything at all."

So how is the beer in the canned format versus draft? Many have an issue with the packaging/labeling but say the release went smoothly. What about the stuff in the cans. Did it meet expectations, etc. Just curious.

Both are absolutely fantastic. the photon is the best batch I've had and was better than the times I've had it on draft in NYC. MC^2 great as usual as well. I guess maybe they do actually care about their beer? Weird.

Haven't logged into BA in a while. Come in today, read what most of this thread is about and only helps make it clear why I stopped logging in so frequently. Thanks guys!

    Whats wrong with maine's labels?

Did anyone happen to hear at the can release how frequently they plan to can in the future?

on Sunday morning, I saw someone on Untappd correctly state that Hoptimization would be tapped Monday. they were right about that.

they also said in the same sentence that cans of Fluctuation are coming on Saturday.

this is obviously unconfirmed, but hey - he got the first one right before it was announced, so who knows. maybe he knows the dudes at EQ (it seemed that way). I would love some Fluctuation in cans.

I will repeat though -- the source for this is an Untappd user who I'm not even friends with lol

Looks like someone finally told them putting white text on a yellow gradient is a bad idea. (Sorry, I can't help it)

Nothing. That's my point. They have extremely simple labels with extremely simple artwork. Doesn't have any impact on the beer itself.
