It's pretty good stuff! I still think Beast Bitter is maybe the best ESB I've ever had, which I almost feel bad saying after having enough cask bitters in England.

I'm generally impressed across the board with MA. I usually put Dragonslayer or Druid Fluid in my trade boxes as an extra (along with stuff from Horseheads).

Hmmm... I guess I'm going to have to go through the MA line. I never really got into their stuff when I lived here before. Not that I didn't like it, it's just that I generally only drank it when I was at the Dino. Maybe I'm going to have to grab one of those mix 12s.

Gotta mention that I'm a big fan of middle ages offerings. I will say there are sometimes polarizing comments on them. Some people love their applications of the ringwood yeast... And some people don't. I think a majority do enjoy it (I being one of them).

They are just a detailed craft brewery that is consistent and tasty. We often grab some family jewels while debating selections at the store

Cant beat Middle Ages for consistently producing stellar brews !!

If you're in the area, just stop at the brewery. Free tastings ftw.

$8 growler fills for their IPA isn't too shabby either.

Any BCBS sightings yet in the Utica/Syracuse area?

Free samplings a plus, they've been cask conditioning beers long before it was, dare I say, en vogue (in upstate ny anywho), and their large format offerings stand with any world class American craft breweries. Specifically Dragon Slayer, Wench, Double Wench and X.

I think we're going to start seeing more from this brewery in the future, just a hunch. An upstate staple fo' sheezy.

Not at Galeville today, or the Co-Op on Thursday.

I was told that Ithaca wouldn't be getting it at all.

Still haven't seen any at Galeville or Wegmans. But Galeville has Alesmith Speedway stout for $11.99. First time I've seen it can't wait to try!

Saw (and bought one) 4-packs of Sublimely Self-Righteous at Galeville, for $7.99.

Really? That's a damn good price. I saw 4-packs of SSR and Ruination recently in Massachusetts and they, along with Ruination 4-packs, were priced at $12.99, which makes sense given that Oaked and Ruination sixers usually run around $17.99—twelve-ish makes sense for the 4-pack. If Ruination 4-packs come in at $7.99, I'll definitely be on the look out for that.

Also, I was at Marcy Beverage today and they had Green Flash's Friendship Brew for $10.49/ 4-pack. I wouldn't even mention it because I get the feeling not very many other people are interested in that beer, but I've noticed that Marcy has great GF prices. WCIPA, Hophead Red, Double Stout, and Rayon Vert are generally always $10.49, and for a while they had Le Freak 4-packs at $8.49 which is absurd. Most other places (outside of CNY, anyway) price Le Freak and now Friendship Brew right around where Palate Wrecker was, which was $14.99-$16.99, generally. So, considering Friendship Brew was on par with the year-rounds and Le Freak was even cheaper there, I figured it was worth mentioning.

    Mmm. Rayon Vert.

Do they still have any of those (at any price)? I passed some up in Ithaca a while back and now wish I hadn't. A couple places in Syracuse have the larger bottles, but I'd rather pick up a couple of four packs if I can.

Nope, they're all out (they were when I was there today, anyway). That's okay. Le Freak is plenty tasty after the hops have died down, kind of an Americanized tripel of sorts, but it's phenomenal when the hops are fresh. Try e-mailing them to see when it should be out again and fresh (think it's a seasonal) so you can catch it then.

I heard there is some issue with the goose island bcbs for the cuse. It was supposed to be here by now. Hopefully it's still coming. I haven't had one in well over two years.

I got a couple when it came in to Brilbeck's in the spring and it was fantastic. I'm afraid that everyone's 22 oz bottles have been sitting since then, which is part of the reason I was looking for 4 packs (because I hadn't seen them prior to August). I'm going to go check out Marcy Beverage today anyway on my drive to Albany. I'm sure I'll find something worth drinking.

Oh definitely, their Stillwater and Evil Twin stuff is decently priced. When I got a 4-pack of Le Freak at Marcy, it was like mid-June, probably.

Also, some of their most recent acquisitions are Stone Saison du BUFF and Smoked Porter w/ Vanilla Beans. Just fyi.
