Fort Hill Jigsaw Jazz

Picked up some Farmers Fresh (Session IPA or Pale, whatever) last night @ $6.99 / 6er. Gotta say this beer is growing on me - nice level taste, easy to drink & tasty.

On a more broad front - why can this tiny brewery put out a very competitively priced beer of reasonable quality? I was always told how expensive brewing was??

I hope market forces can continue to drive value for the better beer consumer.

 

They are a pretty large brewery. Using a 50 barrel system I think. But yeah, these prices seem like bargain basement deals.

Jack's Abby isn't too far off from their pricing and might actually be about the same. FH creates an illusion with the 12oz can.

 

Just tried Jigsaw Jazz yesterday and love it.

 

Took a chance on a sixer that I thought was fresh (noticed stores in the area were claiming a new shipment arrived) and boy does it taste old. I should be passing by easthampton in a couple weeks so I'll give it another shot there.

 

If I remember correctly, you're in Framingham, right? There is one particular store that I'm suspecting makes announcements on social media saying stock is new when it really isn't.

 

I am...yeah I think I'm catching on. Live and learn. I was more annoyed about getting burned on something that goes against my own purchasing rules, so ultimately I blame myself.
