When did Revolution Brewing hit NJ? Anyone know who is distributing them and if cans are available in SNJ? I just noticed Galaxy Hero IPA for growler/crowler pours on Beer menus. ty!
According to Revolution's Press Release: I've seen canned Anti-Hero and Sun Crusher in central Jersey, probably from Shore Point - but with the recent sale of the two Warrens and Hub City, I'm not clear on the current territories. Kramer bought both Warren South and Hub City, so they now cover Mercer and Burlington counties.
Picked up a 12pk of Revolution League of Heros at Bottle King in East Windsor, NJ that contained 3 cans of each of the following Anti Hero Amarillo Hero Galaxy Hero Mosaic Hero They also had 6pks of Sun Crusher, Anti Hero and Galaxy Hero
Saw cans of Revolution at Wilco in Pennsauken. Across from the growler station if I recall. I looked at them because I'd never seen them and passed because I already had too much. May go back and try now!
Good news finally saw Galaxy Hero & Anti Hero show up at Super Buyrite in W. Deptford. Bad news- already 60 days old (4/11/17 canned date) and it says on can keep cold but they have it on shelf... On another note saw Flower Power on cans but couldn't find a canned on date. Did I just miss it?
Yeah, good luck with that - it's routinely ignored by most distributors and retailers, check out Anchor or Pilsner Urquell in most stores. The only time I've seen it followed is beer from self-distributing breweries, such as Carton, where the brewery monitors storage conditions. Saw a small, 4-5 case stack on the floor of a local store. Also looked for a date code and I think I remember that a few of the blank cardboard "trays" had a small date rubber stamped on them, with no other info ("Best by" "Canned On", etc). Useless, of course, if the sixpacks had been stacked on the shelves or coolers. Forget what date it was but between that and my disappointment with the last FP I bought probably a year ago or more, I passed on it.
Cold storage is a VERY finite space in a store. It's expensive and not easy to maintain properly...and there are more beers that state "Keep Cold" than there are places in each beer fridge. In an ideal world it would be great to keep every hoppy beer cold but that just isn't possible for any store.
