Due to my work schedule (working at night), getting off well after all places close), it has been hard to try to make it anyplace to check anything out on draft. I am not particularly keen on drinking before work (even if that is 3-5 hours before work would ever start) - it's just not my jam, that's all. We haven't had a day off either, and generally, won't.

Soooooo, I'm looking for places that do crowlers. I know the daily growlers do, but I was wondering what other places around town might have crowlers. I guess I'd be open to places that also have 32 oz growlers (or whatever the hell the name is for a smaller sized growler), especially if it has a swing-top on it.

    The term is Howler.

As far as swingtops, I'm not sure if Ohio Taproom still uses them or not for their 32's. Might be worth calling and asking. Best part of their draft system is they use counterpressure filling.

If you say 32oz growler you sound like less of an idiot.

Hey all, not exactly related to a trip to Columbus but figured I would post here as opposed to creating a new thread. Looking to host a 40th birthday party for my sister who is into craft beer. Any suggestions on a venue we could rent out for about 30 people that has good beer? Food isn't required but that would be a perk too.

    Thanks!

Wolf's Ridge and Studio 35 come to mind as far as places that you can completely rent out.

Actually at the Daily Growlers the term is crowler...Its a large canned version, hence "crowler" not howler...

A crowler is an aluminum can "growler", thus the name. A howler is a 32oz glass container.

I'm pretty sure the Daily Growler rents out space.....
