Thanks for doing this, and I agree, it would be nice to get the original one back up. Do we know who the current mod is for the GL forum? Just wondering for future reference.

 

That was kind of the tricky part...couldn't find a resident GL mod. I believe it used to be @blue-dream, but it appears he is no longer a moderator and hasn't been on the forum in 2.5 months.

has anyone seen birthday bomb hitting Binny's yet?

 

The Elmwood Park Binny's had them last night. I stopped in around 6 pm and they didn't have a limit on them - I grabbed 4.

 

Downstate Binny's had it a week and a half, maybe 2 weeks ago.

 

For anyone who might be interested, Skokie binnys has about 10-12 kbs 12oz and a few Parabolas out on the shelf today

 

for anyone in the burbs, Wheeling (former BG) Binny's has Bday Bomb today

 

Yup Binnys Grand had about 8+ cases sitting on the floor this am.

Open Bottle had a big stack of Birthday Bomb yesterday.

 

Interested as well. I assume this is a new batch? Latest untappd check ins looks good compared to the overall rating but interested in hearing if anyone has had this yet.

 

I haven't tried the new batch, but had the last regular and coffee batches. I think its OK. I'm not a fan of a tea taste in my beers, so I couldn't get past that (its slight but its still there). I preferred the coffee, but neither are ones I would go out of my way for.

 

Clown Shoes Crasher in the Rye just showed up. Their BA stuff is always good and underrated.

 

AGREED - it's very good within the first 6 months - I was happy to get a 2nd bottle last time after drinking the first one right away. I opened it a year later and it was not very good.
...and we've seen Crasher In The Rye for about 2 weeks now, so I don't expect to see it make it to July in most places.

 

Did it land at Binny's? I haven't seen it at any smaller places.

 

Yeah apparently VinHalen54 must've seen it in the city because it just hit NW burbs today.
