Chicagoland NE IPAs (2018)

I don't know what "be farmhouse" is, but I can assure you Farm Juice was draft and in cans yesterday over at Werk Force.

To Go. I took two 4 packs of 16oz cans home with me.

 

Definitely available to go, friend got some for me.

So what beers are in the horizon over the next two weeks in the Chicagoland area? Heading to northern Michigan over the 4th and want to bring a shit ton of NE ipas for friends. Cans and bombers only.

Btw Radio Swan was excellent. Perfect balance for a rye beer - many others would of gotten wrong. Like it more than Transient's something strange.

 

Side topic - would like to hear everyone's opinions on bottle/can art. I love mikerphone's beer, but find some of their artwork a bit corny. Not all of it, but some.

 

I can finally compliment Hop Butcher again...love their can designs.

Thx. Radio Swan is my favorite so far. Rye IPAs are my jam.

We have a new DIPA coming out Friday. Working name is Beach Body. Like Snooch but more tropical. Tasting notes to come.

Also, another batch of Death By Snu Snu is being brewed this coming week.

Radio Swan can release is scheduled for July 18th.

Pretty pumped about the coming months. I'm taking delivery of some new (to me) hops. Cashmere, Styrian General and Orbit. And a type of Chinook that is straight pineapple.

 

I agree, Farm Juice is really good.

Which one(s) in particular have you not cared for?

 

I think everything about Mikerphone's branding is unappealing and even cringe worthy. The logo, bottle art, taproom, even the name itself. Good thing they make good beer.

 

I know it was mentioned before but stopped in Horse Thief Hollow and tried there NEIPA, thought it was quite good. Haven't had to many others from other brewers, mostly stuck on south side, but hoping to get farther north this summer and try as many as possible

 

I had a feeling by the way things were going Friday that it might go fast.

 

I dunno, I think labels like Mikerphone Check and Thursty are pretty sharp
