Stickee Monkee at Magruders, you have to ask, and probably landing everywhere else in dc this week. Calvert Woodley had it yesterday.

Not sure how many bottles they're releasing these days, but they usually have a ton of stuff on tap available for growler fills.

Pretty much everything that is on tap, plus whatever bottles they have. They always have a good variety of styles, which is what I really love about the place.

They are verified on Untappd, so you can go there and view what is currently on. It's really the only place to go for an up-to-date list. Looks like it was updated on June 8.

I would strongly recommend Sunnyside Dweller. One of the best local beers around. It has phenomenal flavor for a pils and it couldn't be a better time of year for it.

I second this, Sunnyside is such a great beer. I was there last night, they had 500 ml bottles of Sunnyside for $5 and one other but I can't remember which it was. BA Painless was also on tap, its holding up very well.

Was there today and the highlights for me were the sorta NE IPA like Loaded Questions and the Tongue Tied DIPA, which was awesome-- Ocelot at their best. Only Sunnside bottles available right now-- agree that this is easily the best pils made in the DC area.

20% off at Whole Foods on beer for Father's Day FYI. Some decent stuff at foggy bottom, bunch of beer camp too.

New 3 Stars dipa release Star Dust is very tasty. Not sure if it's being distributed or not but cans are for sale at the brewery.

It's hard to believe that Space Reaper is the same beer that Solar Abyss was. I wish I didnt buy a case.

no bueno? what is it about it that's not good. (I never had the Solar Abyss either, and debating on the Space Reaper. I have a case of various other IPA's so no biggie if it's not worth it.)

I picked up a 6'er last year, and 4 of 6 cans were drain pours. It was awful. It was far better on draft, but nothing I would seek out. Solar Abyss on the other hand was amazing.

They have canning problems over there. Occasionally, I'll drink some of their stuff on tap but I won't touch any cans that come out of that brewery. Way to inconsistent, and the quality has suffered over the past couple years. I miss OG OTWOA.

Passed on a bunch of $19 sixers at WFP this afternoon. Don't feel like rolling the dice with D.C. Brau anymore

I'm making my way to Charlottesville, VA from New Jersey and wanted suggestions of breweries to stop by in VA. I've got Ocelot Brewing saved. Any additional recommendations?

Depending on when you're going, since you're already going to be out near Ocelot you might want to check out Aslin as well. Their hours are a little weird and they only have beer to-go (no on-premises consumption), but if you happen to be in the area at the right time their beers are great!

Edit: It looks like they're going to be closed Thursday and Friday this week, so their can release will be on Saturday instead of Thursday as usual.

If you're going to stop at Ocelot, you could swing by Solace Brewing as well. They just opened a week or two ago, and I havent been yet, but it's only a 5 minute drive. You could also check out Beltway Brewing (a contract house that does a lot of Grimm's beers) and Crooked Run, which are super close to each other.

Check out Champion Brewing as well if you're down there and grab a Shower Beer, cuz who doesn't need a beer for the shower??

Thanks for the rec. I'm actually headed down after the 4th holiday so I have time. Planning my drive though with the recs that are coming through.

Thanks for the recs. Wasn't aware Beltway does a lot of the Grimm stuff. I'd like to see their set up.
