So it seems like the General Store is selling things they don't want to offer at their other locations. These are some weird business dudes for sure...

 

So both Pineal and Oblivex made it behind the bar...let's see if one or both make it into that general store cooler next week #dreamaccessiblebeer

 

People are still talking about the General Store? I thought it became irrelevant after the rummage sale..

 

I likely missed this aspect from previous posts that centered on synths and gems but I did not realize that draft beer was being sold at the General Store.

Milkshake kicked. Amazing

 

The growler line for the Milkshake was ridiculous. It literally wrapped around the outside of the Brew Cafe. I was already "in line" for cans so I ended up bailing and just went inside and got a pint. It was good. Reminded me of Kalamansi but not quite as good. Definitely glad I didn't wait an hour in line for a growler.

 

This last batch of alien church is divine, awesome that it showed up at the general store. I'll have to check the taps I don't even remember seeing them.

 

Could anyone tell me what bottles are available at the general store?

Yeah I asked on their instagram the other day as it appeared that they were loading in some new stuff and I couldn't find anything on their website aside from what they posted before for the Ferm and Cafe at the end of the taplists. I would think that since these aren't gone immediately they will hopefully keep a running tab of what's available somewhere. #dreaminfo #dreamcommunication

 

Were they just doing small pours while you shopped or were they filling growlers?

 

Actually I'm not even 100% sure. I only got tasters. I will say I did notice the draft faucets were the standard type and not the extended ones typically used for growler fills.

 

They had maybe 6-8 types of bombers at the general store today, didn't see any cans other than hophands. I wrote down obliterative and virga from heavy gem (23 a bottle!) and prayer group to go with the other ones already mentioned like ourison but there were some more too. I'm sure some are great but the price point for stuff I've never tried is kind of high. I like batch 11 ourison and at 15 is fine but all the others seemed to be more like 18 to 23.

 

I may have missed it, but are there hours for the General Store? I don't see any on the website.

 

Tuesday- Sunday 11am-9pm

 

They had 2 guest taps - looks like it is just small pours, didn't see that they were filling growlers. The samples were free, had a forest and main beer on and victory braumeister pils on tap yesterday.

hey everyone, coming up to Philly in a few weeks and wanted to swing by Tired Hands on the the 5th. never been to TH before. just read through the thread trying to pick up some info but had a few questions:

-how much of a hassle is it to take the train/SEPTA up there from the philly airport?
-i see that can releases are generally on wednesdays, with the exception of holiday weeks, of which this would be one. i'm actually kind of hoping to avoid a release date to have a more laid-back, easy visit. any local perspective on the likelihood of a release that week maybe being pushed to the 6th, or just none at all that week bc of the holiday?

anything else you'd consider important for an out-of-towner not covered on their website or this thread? cheers!

 

if you know the day you can make it you can hit up their website and reserve a table etc... makes it the easiest low hassle way to ensure you have a spot to sit etc... you may not need it but it's better safe then sorry especially if visiting from out of town

who knows what they'll do for the 4th of july week... maybe they'll do a Sunday 7/2 can release... it's all just a guess
