If you want to avoid the crush of a can release should there be one on the day you visit, you can always head over the the Brew Cafe. However, if you are planning on going in the middle of the day, it shouldn't be particularly crowded at either location.

It's about a 20 minute SEPTA ride from the airport to 30th St Station, and from there another 17 minutes on regional rail (Paoli/Thorndale line) to Ardmore. If the times match up OK, it's not a bad trip. Both locations are only about a 5 minute walk from the train station.

Surprised to see alien church two weeks in a row.... not mad about it though.

What time do cans go on sale at tomorrow? I'm in Atlantic City but will be driving home tomorrow. Thinking about planning a stop by the fermentia on the drive home.

I'm a little surprised too. I thought that if they could ramp up production of Alien Church to a regular basis that it would end up in the General Store as opposed to at the Ferm on release days.

Technically last week's Alien Church was from the prior week and some was held back for the General Store.

My guess is they will be holding some of this week's batch for the General Store as well. Perhaps they have a plan - like if they can it every other week for a while and hold some back each time they will be able to keep it in stock longer.

Damn I wish I didn't go last week. High road FTW. Their best double IMO.

The first time I had High Road it was that magical, soft mouthfeel, juicy/fruity TH DIPA perfection we're always hoping to get from their beers.

The last time I had it was kinda too boozy and "heavy" tasting. Wasn't a big fan.

I agree.. I think there was a release in October or November of last year that was tasting unreal, almost reminding me a little bit of fresh SAP from Tree House.. the batch they released earlier this year was a little off; not bad, just not as amazing as I remember it tasting in 2016.

Surprised at all the High Road love. Maybe I've only had the 'lesser' batches but that one never wowed me. AC is where it's at.

Same. I've only had High Road once and it wasn't something I thought was worth waiting in line for again... just a little too boozy and malty (relative to other TH IPAs). Guess I should give it another try sometime.

That's it! It was in the fall and I thought it was like nothing I'd ever had from them. Then I got a full allotment with the first Vanilla Milkshake release and it was just a heavy malty/boozy mess and I had way too much of it. :slight_frown:

Taste is subjective, but yea I guess if a brewery could brew with consistency it would make it easier on all of us to decide our favorite.

I'm shooting for 18:00 tonight, I do not expect a crazy release at all.

60 cases of ALien Church made it behind the bar according to IG. Sounds like it was pretty quiet.

There was apparently some crazy weather so I'm sure that helped the line. Should be some Church at the general store tomorrow.

Fully agree with this and have been saying it for awhile. AC is their best non-milkshake beer.

That was one of the easiest releases in recent memory. Besides the drenching rain. That wasn't fun. But at its worst, I don't think the line ever got more than halfway down the second street.
