I haven't been drinking the CT but I do think that while MS has not been "consistent" from batch to batch, it has been getting better every time so I have to give them credit there. I agree on the "flagship" label though, its pretty much meaningless, and I also agree that most of their "new" beers are just slight variations of the same base beer. They basically brew 5-6 different beers, the 8.5% DIPA, the gose, the 5-6% IPA, the big TIPA, Hornswoggler, and the sour IPA. Everything else is just slightly different hops or fruit/juice/candy bars added at some point in the process.

I have complained about this exactly with a lot of people. Tbf, I usually love the batches even with variations. They've admitted that their yeast behaves differently in different parts of its cycle, but I wish they could make it so that wasn't the case. It also stands to reason that there could be variations in hops batch to batch that are completely out of their control. So I give them some leeway, sure, but it's irritating when this all comes together to make basically a completely different beer which has happened on a few occasions. Anyone remember the completely clear batch of Idontever?

Take Crucial Taunt. End of 2016 they dropped it 3 times in 4 months. Next week is 3 months the last CT release. In that time they've done CCTT, CCAA, and Master Taunt (Master Taunt was by far my favorite of these) - and really I'd be happier with just a solid batch or two of CT.

No one's been drinking the CT because they haven't been making it!

The only thing I'd add is they do lagers pretty frequently (3 since March I think?). Personally I tend to think of the "zeroIBU" IPAs differently too but just because they're my favorites.

To your point, it's sort of crazy a single hop brew like the Broz series (all 100% citra) counts for 8 different variants/brands that I can think of.

Today, Thursday June 15th at 4pm we will be releasing a very special pilot batch collaboration called Eating Bird Food! Eating Bird Food is a collaboration with our good friend and local health coach/food+lifestyle blogger Brittany Mullins from Eating Bird Food. Together we brewed a GLUTEN FREE IPA!

Eating Bird Food was brewed with malted millet and flaked quinoa and then hopped intensely with ...Citra, Nelson, and Lemondrop. Clocking in at 5.3%, this beer is a straight up crusher! Citrusy and refreshing. **PLEASE NOTE THAT WHILE THIS BEER WAS BREWED WITH GLUTEN-FREE GRAINS, IT WAS STILL PROCESSED IN A FACILITY THAT PRODUCES NON-GLUTEN FREE PRODUCTS**

Eating Bird Food will be available on draft at 4pm when we open doors. It will also be available to go for today only in limited 32oz crowlers. Tim Skirven from Skirven & Croft knocked the artwork out of the park with this one!

Approx 58x crowlers available. $12+tax each. 1x crowler per person.

Crucial Taunt is our 8% house DIPA.
Shooting for approx 195-220 cases. $15+tax/4-pack. 6x 4-packs/1x case per person.

    Dirt Brothers
is a blend of two of our favorite DIPA recipes. We brewed one batch of Dirt Nap and one batch of Single Brothers and fermented them as one in a fermenter. A true kitchen sink of hops featuring Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, Nelson, Simcoe, Amarillo, and Centennial. Clocking in at 8.8%, Dirt Brothers has one of the most complex hop characters of any DIPAs we have released.
Shooting for approx 195-220 cases. $16.50+tax/4-pack. 6x 4-packs/1x case per person.

    Double Chocolate Hornswoggler
(DEBUT)- For this variant, we took our 7% robust chocolate milk stout and condition it on hundreds of pounds of milk chocolate chips and some random candy bars. An insane amount of actual milk chocolate went into this one. Creamy, velvety, scrumdiddlyumptious chocolate river of a stout. **WARNING:MAY CONTAIN NUTS** You will notice a new sticker that we will be applying to some Hornswoggler varian...ts that states "Contains [IMG] Nuts" for any variant that might have nuts in them for the folks who may have an allergy.
Shooting for approx 175-195 cases. $17+tax/4-pack. 3x 4-packs per person.

We will also be hiding 10x Golden Tokens underneath the 4-pack holders(only on Hornswoggler cans). Find one of these coins and give it to a staff member behind the bar to receive a free Golden Hornswoggler glass. This is the ONLY way to get your hands on this glass. We will never sell this glass. It is only acquired if you are the lucky few to find a Golden Token.

After lamenting the constant NEW DIPA releases, I'd point to this one as a pretty great example of what I'd like to see more regularly. One flagship, one returning beer (ipa or not) and a one off variant debut.

Cracked a BrozBrozNightNight the other night and thought it was fantastic. Had Master Taunt last night and although not my favorite, it was super tropical and tasty for me. Still looking forward to trying Shredder and IBU series one day. One of my favorite breweries not named Civil or Trillium

IBU series is my favorite thing from them overall because it's different enough where a lot of their D/IPAs can run together those still stand out. That said they still vary by batch. Not as big a fan of this batch of Idont as I have been in the past. Hoping Idontever is on point whenever it comes back and, if it is, I recommend seeking that one out. Chances are it could be in the next month unless they drop the triple version before doing the DIPA again.

When a batch of MS is on point, and many are, that beer is a perfect crusher.

I agree with alot of what's been said over the last few pages in regards to alot of their beers being variants on the same base beer.

However, I kind of enjoy it. Like yeah I don't go crazy and buy a case of something like BHUMBL or OOLL but it's nice to try different spins. BHUMBL frankly was awesome and I hope it comes back in some form of another Citra and Engima work really nicely. I also agree with the point that some of recent DDH batches have been no bueno. OOLL was not good in my humble opinion same with BBNN (which I know puts me in minority) Eyelidz like BHUMBL was awesome so it's fun to see different stuff and still work on your own palate and get a feel for how different hops play with each other.

I agree with this. I am not saying that I wish they didn't put these beers out. Somewhere ^^ I said something like the experimentation gets us things like White Ferrari (B1 is one of my favorites). Eyelidz and BHUMBL are/were both great, I'm glad I got to try them, and I'd love for them to come back. The downside, (aside from dropping $ on something like SITDWN which was completely meh imho) is that I'm stuck wishing they'd make Frozen Ocean/blackivy/yung blud/coconut hornswoggler etc. again.

(DEBUT)is our first ever IPL. Clocking in at 6.2%, we hopped this one with crazy amounts of Citra, Mosaic, and Amarillo. We basically took a standard IPA recipe we would normally brew and fermented it with lager yeast and lagered/conditioned the final product for a few more weeks. If y'all like IPL's you will prob like this one.
Shooting for approx 80-95 cases. $14+tax/4-pack. 3x 4-packs per person.

Master Master Shredder Shredder(first time in over 8 months)! The return of the double dry-hopped version of our house IPA Master Shredder. 5.5%, loaded with with all the hops, and just an insane crusher. We [IMG] you MMSS!
Shooting for approx 205-225 cases. $14.50+tax/4-pack. 4x 4-packs per person.

We We Ded Ded (DEBUT) - Oh boy! We done did it again! We took our 100% Citra TIPA We Ded Mon and hit it with a double dry-hopping. Don't even know what to say about this one. Clocking it at 11%, this is just straight hop jooze. Cray!
Shooting for approx 170-195 cases. $19+tax/4-pack. 3x 4-packs per person.

Never Never Sufficient Sufficient (DEBUT) - A seriously irresponsible amount of sweet and sour cherry purée was added to make this double cherry version of our cherry Gose Never Sufficient. This one is cherry insanity. If you think this beer doesn't have enough cherry in it, you should go to the doctor my friend. We have never put this much fruit in a beer before. For realzies.
Shooting for approx 170-195 cases. $22+tax/4-pack. 2x 4-packs per person.
