I have a bunch of extra glassware and plastic festival mugs I can bring. I'll try to remember to pack them on Saturday morning. I can also bring a large cooler and pack it with ice here in PDX if that will help.

In terms of food, I'm happy to chip in some money to help order some pizzas if that's how folks want to go with this ($20 per person maybe, for those interested?).

I'll be driving up from PDX on Saturday, so I probably can't get to Fremont too much earlier than the 12:00 start time, unfortunately.

I would like to publicly echo this sentiment. It seems to me that a generous impulse first led our host to step forward, and now an unfailingly courteous nature has obliged him to follow through despite the fact that the timing of this is actually terribly inconvenient. Although trying to relocate or reschedule could be problematic—and I’d hate if a few people currently slated to attend couldn’t come as a result—perhaps the gathering as a whole would benefit by an absence of significant conflicts on the day, and especially for our host. Plus, I was really hoping Terry would be there, and now the talented home brewer and kind fellow, @jaredmull, too. For me, at least, this wouldn’t feel quite right without them.

Of course I leave the decision-making to others, but still I felt compelled to put these thoughts on the record...

It's become clear that Sunday would have been better but it's definitely too late to change now.

I've got a handful of small festival glasses I can bring, too. Not sure how many but I'll bring what I have. I'm also happy to chip in 20$ or whatever for pizza. I'll try to be there at 11 or so to help out.

Ah, rats, or stronger words to that effect. Nevertheless, we will persist.

By the way, I'm bringing a bottle of Rum King (BA stout from Indeed, from MSP), but I'm undecided on a second bottle. I've got other BA stouts, but am wondering if there will be too many bottles of that kind of beer. OTOH, I've got a couple of oddities from BC, neither of which I've tried: an oyster stout from Tofino, and a Boysenberry sour from another BC brewery. I've also got a couple of Russian River Belgians, the kind we used to get around here, but now cannot. I've also got a 2013 Bruery 5 Golden Rings.

Any opinions about how to choose among these?

I will be there early to help out. Coming from Vashon, and travelling on the ferry and bus, I can't bring cooler nor ice nor food. Glad to contribute to a community food buy, whether pizza or something else.

I'm OK with postponing, although frankly, given my schedule this summer, it was something of a surprise that the 24th worked for me and others. I'd probably not be able to make it on the majority of other weekends in the next few weeks. That is an illustration of the fact that it will always be tough to assemble nearly everyone.

Nevertheless, I agree with @EdwardAbbey, that we should be willing to lessen the load on our host, and postpone. Not to mention, the loss of @beertunes. I think it's up to the instigator, @cherche, to make the call.

Postponing works for me, and I hope it does for others.

I think everyone would be okay with postponing if @Texwild prefers to do so but I think we are getting a little ahead of ourselves here. Also, I would prefer to to change locations before postponing. It's been a while since one of these had happened so it would be unfortunate to not have get together of some sort as we are so close to the date...

I'll go along with whatever the group decides, but would also prefer that we stick with the current date, if it turns out this is complicating Texwild's life too much. That's assuming we can find some other place to hold the share at this late date

I'm of the belief that there can't be too many bottles of this type beer. Hopefully, everyone feels the same way (or there's going to be some real problems drinking down the stuff I'm bringing).

I've had the Tofino Oyster Stout, and it's a good choice. If you ever get the chance to try their seaweed stout, I suggest you do so. I was surpised at how much I liked it.

Thank you for the kind words, I'm certainly not worthy of them. Go. Have fun. Drink the beers.

Terry will, indeed, be missed but he's got to protect his lawn  Next one in Bham?

No worries on the date. This is going to be fun. We can't reschedule now. This is too epic not to carpe diem
I've got glasses handled. No need to bring them.
We've got buckets and ice ordered. All good.
I was going to order a bunch of pizzas from Frelard Pizza. Does this work?
The main thing is going to be the clean up but I think we can handle this with the collective.
I'm going to bring a ton of funky stuff from my travels and a good selection of Fremont beers from the cellar.
We can do a walk around of the brewery also and I'm heading over to the UBG for Unicorn Tears afterwards. All are welcome to enjoy the shit show with me :0

    Well, that'll be a first.

@Texwild , if I are able to to send a thing down, should I aim at the mothership, or Ballard?

Ballard. We call it "West" in a fit of creativity because it's west of "East", the original brewery.
    Are you the thing?

    Sadly,
    Sadly, maybe?

I might be able to send a package down, for the communal enjoyment, if I know where to send it. It's short notice, so no promises, but, I'll see if I can contribute in some small way.

Sending to mothership is likely to be easier my mules, er, transportation specialists, just cuz, science.

    No promises on short notice.

Understood. Well try to ferry over any potential delivery with a heads up by you. We will look for hippies with hand trucks and know the delivery has arrived.

One thing for sure... whether Terry's package arrives or not, there is going to be a LOT of beer on hand this Saturday.

Yes. With the caveat and understanding that you'll accept monetary contributions from us to defray the cost of all those pizzas you're buying!
