To be fair, I have it on good authority that you're all liars and thieves.

Tired hands milkshakes are excellent if you like sweet IPAs. I've never had a commercial brew even close to the quality of tiredgabds shakes (I have had a homebrew close though).

My fav was double mango milkshake - any kind of tropics fruits that complement citra/mosaic/galaxy goes well. There's also nooo bitterness at all. The bitter takes away from the vanillla/fruit flavors. I think all of the hops are added during whirlpool at less than 170F.

Also a close second for the tired hands double vanilla milkshake. No fruit, just crazy amounts of vanilla/hop/lactose.

I had the noon whistle gummy vortex with pineapple and it blew away the fruitless versions by alot. Took away the bitterness on the end.
The Tired Hands Milkshake series is the king of the hill. Strawberry is my fav. I think they are putting tons of apple and vanilla beans in each one as well. Stunnersville.

Interesting. Had Pineapple Gummy Vortex when they were doing crowler sales. Got 0 pineapple and reminded me of just Gummy Vortex. Their fruited IPA's just don't cut it for me.

Not a NE style IPA, but Pipeworks Pineapple Lizard King is still the best fruited pale/IPA I've had to date.

That pineapple Gummy Vortex was unreal - I could crush those all summer if they canned it

To me, the NE IPA's that evoke fruit flavors without actually adding fruit are head & shoulders above those that "cheat" & just use fruit.

Part of the brewer's art I suppose that they can use basic beer ingredients & make a fruity beer that tastes better than actual fruit beer.

co-signed. I've never met a fruited pale that I thought was better than non-fruited version. Nothing beats the nuance and complexity of fruit by way of hops.

The fruited Ninja Vs. Unicorn varieties at the Pdubs Pipedream were pretty fantastic.

As far as the Tired Hands Milkshakes go, I've had the Extra Double Vanilla Milkshake twice and thought it was fantastic. Sweet, but not too sweet for my tastes. The blueberry pancake one was pretty average though.

Maybe they need to be double dry fruited? :stuck_out_tongue:

Other Half has a collab with Arizona Wilderness that is an IPA with citra, equinox, and galaxy hops plus lemon zest and Arizona prickly pear. Works surprisingly well.

    Here's Ghost Tropic

No funny business...(no lactose, no wood, no rye, etc)

Soft, huge body. Bitterness is less than Snooch...makes this a bit sweeter. A little hint of alcohol in this one as well.
Starts out tropical/pineapple...finish is long and juicy. Reminds me of canned peaches in syrup.

I'm guessing most people will like this better than the latest batch of Snoochie.

"Green-ness" is fading fast and should be nearly gone by tomorrow.

Which is good, because it's going on at 5pm Friday.

Maplewood tapping Pride Pants at Sheffields on Sunday. Lactose pale ale brewed with cascade and cashmere hops. Strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries added.

Random thought: when a brewery makess the same beer but changes the hop bill, should it be considered a different beer?

For example, Corridor changed the hop bill between Squeezit batch 1 and Squeezit batch 2...doesn't that fundamentally change the flavor of this beer? And more practically for us internet nerds, shouldn't there be different Beer Advocate listings for each batch, since someone reviewing batch 1 is not having the same flavor profile as someone reviewing batch 2?
