I am going to be visiting some friends in Seattle and wanted to load up the vehicle with good brews to enjoy/share. Any locals with good suggestions? I will be staying near Mt Baker/Columbia areas

Just swing by Pudunkpartes (Brian's) house. You can have his cellar.

+1 The Last Drop (best prices) & Malt & Vine in Redmond
Check out QFC in University Village & Whole Foods Westlake if convenient
If you make it up North, Special Brews in Lynnwood has great selection & always something good on tap.

driving to Lake City or Redmond to get beer when Beer Junction is less than 15 minutes away just seems silly.

Beer Junction. Plus it's fun. Order food in and enjoy 1 of 16 beers on tap while bottle shopping

You've got to start using the quote feature. No one knows for sure which bottle shop you are referring to.

OP - It's funny that you were clear that you were staying in the Mt. Baker/Columbia area and no one has yet mentioned the bottle shop closest to you --- Full Throttle Bottles in Georgetown. You can also hit up Georgetown Brewing for their more than reasonably-priced growlers. Lucille is becoming a favorite local IPA.

Not a fan of Full throttle. Way overpriced and a pretty small selection.

a little overpriced, but their selection is very comparable to every other store in town IMO. They don't have taps but its a great local business with fantastic customer service. For that reason alone, I try to find a reason to stop there every few months.

Chuck's is good but would be a serious pain to get to from Mt. Baker/Columbia. Hell, I live in Maple Leaf and I get frustrated trying to get to Chuck's (especially now that 85th is torn up).

    Agreed. She is great.

And I would also agree it's a "little" overpriced, definitely not "way" overpriced as previously mentioned. What the OP might spend in gas driving all over town as most people are suggesting would make the prices at Full Throttle Bottles a wash.
