Today late afternoon I was in New Buffalo, MI. And, as I promised @joe1510 I found his Old Nation M-43 hook-up. His name is Brett and works at Barney's. He keeps the M-43 in the back, so you must ask for it.

I'm waiting for the wife to get ready to go to dinner so figured I had a solid half hour to drink a beer, and I will. I found these in the cooler at Safeway at lunch today; we're starting to get a better selection in the boonies and I think more craft drinkers as well.

 

Okay, one more, we've moved on to Smack Shack, an MSP institution. This is Todd The Axe Man, another MSP institution. Citra/Mosaic hoppy excellence. I'm so happy I could cry.

How was the day?

 

A couple listens in, the new Sasquatch sounds like a definite winner.

Yet another beer from @SomethingClever . This stuff is delicious! No wonder you and @WesMantooth are always guzzling it, the beer.

 

Spent most of the day on the road ! Driving from Atlanta, GA to Virginia to visit family. 7 hours! Just got to my brothers first apartment so we are enjoying some spoils I brought from home.

Right out the can because the boy has no glasses yet. Beside a GD Yeti snifter I donated to him.



Only a week old and drinking great.

Shhhh don't tell @cjgiant thats why we didn't give him any. Wolf's Ridge Gold Standard is amazing too but I wouldn't give you a bottle either, just like him. I really don't like anyone enough to give up a bottle of Gold Standard, except @LeperJim but wtf doesn't like him. He needs to start a cult I'd drink that koolaid

 

Founders Doom. From an IPA standpoint, it isn't as bright, floral, or citrus'y as I would normally expect. But add vanilla, oak, and a bit of bourbon. Seems to be a sweetness and bitterness that are combating themselves in you mouth.
Very interesting beer - we'll see if the 12+% will catch me off guard .
