My default answer is fresh Pernicious or Freak of Nature. Pretty much the standard West Coast-style IPAs in NC, even if they are owned by InBev.

Right now, Burial has a collab hazy DIPA called Momentary Inception (w/ The Answer Brewpub) that is getting rave reviews. I haven't been up to try it so I can't vouch for it personally, but it looks like it should at least be in the discussion for best IPA in town (this week). Get it while you can.

Definitely one of the Burial ones - Surf Wax, Scythe, or Momentary Inception depending on your preference.

I enjoyed the milkshake IPA's from Bhramari when I was there a month or so ago.

Surfwax. The Wicked Weed stuff is such a standard approach to West Coast IPA/DIPA.

I'll third the Pernicious, even if it is "such a standard approach to West Coast IPA".

As of yesterday I have to give it to the current batch of Burial's Gang of Blades... it's back to the juicy/hazy looking variation that we saw back in December 2016... unlike the past couple batches which were clear, amber and on the sweet side (IMO)

where to you find this? I am north of Raleigh and have never seen this brand. I am also old, like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and New Belgium Citradelic and don't drive past nearest Food Lion often.

Not sure where you are north of Raleigh but if you make it down to Raleigh you should definitely check out some of the dedicated beer shops which carry brands like Burial (Ridgewood, Tasty, etc.).

I do go to Kroger or Harris Teeter on occasion. I just hate going into the city anymore.

I would try your local bottle shop. Not sure where in North Raleigh you are, but it may be worth reaching out to BottleMixx, Crafty Beer Shop, The Hop Yard, etc.
