Very interesting. It's a lot easier for me to get to New Glory than Moonraker. Anyone think we'll get some Moonraker-calibre beers coming to New Glory?

Getting Kyle is a step in the right direction for their NE style IPAs. That is probably the style that could use a boost at NG. They already do several good West Coast IPAs, Pale Ales and a few great Stouts.

So I did stop by New Glory yesterday for a few beers and some cans to go. Kyle was already there.

Taproom is small, but a nice space. Had the "Make it Rain" ipa and "Fidget Spinner" Dipa.

Yeah I'm pretty excited about New Glory. They've been expanding their hours and I think they recently announced they'll be open 7 days a week. I live in Lodi and like hitting the West Sac breweries and New Glory and Device and if I'm driving through Sac I'll visit Fieldwork. But if New Glory starts making these coveted Moonraker styles which I've never had because it's too far then I'll start visiting New Glory more. I might go there and stock up for the 4th weekend.

New Glory has been really hit or miss for me. Astro Haze was pretty damn good from what I remember. Their Raspberry Berliner Weisse was really good too. Dank Juice and some other can releases earlier this year were mostly average to me.

I agree with this. I was also disappointed in this years Key Lime Pie Gose.

Very hit or miss. I think if they can dial in their core, from a consistency perspective, bring in some fresh ideas for their one offs, shed some of the beers that are simply meh, they'll do really well. I also would like to see their kettle sours get a little better, the last bottles were sweet syrupy messes....

Really? Cause that is what they really already did. They only have like 3 core beers now right in their French Saison, Extra Pale Ale, and Ubahdank. Rest are rotating releases and draft only test batches of stuff. I think their sours are pretty good and maybe second best in the area next to Mraz. They only bottled 2 sours thus far (the cherry one and lemon lime one) and I'm pretty sure both of those were barrel aged, not kettle soured. While I'm not saying there isn't room to improve, they are one of the better, progressive breweries in the area. They also do a good job of having product in the taproom as well as the local shops and stores.

It looks like New Glory's first beer from new Head Brewer Kyle Leddy is going to be canned this Friday.

Looks like one of his Moonraker brews for sure. Very YOJO like..... Juicy Centers IPA. They haven't posted the hops used yet, abv or can artwork.

New Glory just announced the CAN release for "Juicy Centers" IPA will be 2pm on Friday 7/14.

Mosaic, Citra, and Huell Melon Hops. Comes in at 7.0% ABV. Price: $16 per 4-pack
    Limit: No limits!

They are going head to head with the Moonraker YOJO ipa can release on Friday 7/14. The Student takes on the Master....lol....

Fieldwork also has 3 cans dropping this weekend. Plus Track 7 has 4 cans being released on Saturday 7/15.

A lot to choose from in Sacramento this weekend.

How frequently do the cans sell out at each respective brewery?

Traveling up to Chico for a wedding on Saturday and should be in the area on Friday and potentially Sunday as well.

Moonraker will probably sellout Friday. YOJO is their most popular/Hyped release. 170 cases with a 1 case limit.

New Glory is unknown. First "Hazy" release with the new Head Brewer. No limit.

Track 7 and Fieldwork should last into Saturday or possible Sunday.

Jesus. I'm not even finished with my Holy Hermit and Jungle Double Crush cans yet. Both are freaking delicious by the way.

I finally had my first Moonraker - at Old Town Pizza in Elk Grove. A saison. Quite nice. The reason I haven't been to Moonraker is that it's too far (I live in Lodi) and I don't like mob scenes. New Glory is much more my speed and they are pretty close and never mobbed. I'm going to go for this Juicy Centers and see how the transition to the Moonraker brewer goes. I've been digging their other IPA's too - Mouth Party and Fidget Spinner etc. Love to see what direction they go now.
I'd like to get this T7 pack too but not sure if I'll be able to make it.

Cheers - landing Moonraker would be epic. How early does one have to show up generally? I'm driving up from LA that day, so just trying to see how feasible it would be.

170 max allotments doesn't sound like very many but then again I'm familiar with Monkish releases where 200 people show up in 30 minutes after announce.

Not really too far from Lodi if there's no traffic. Last release I got there at around 2pm and it was really chill. No mob scene or anything. More importantly no lines for pours or cans.

Looking at the IG comments....some angry folks at Moonraker. Yojo really sell out in an hour?!?!?!? Was looking to drive up there later to see if I can get cans but this made my decision eaaaaaasy.
