    Per Tenemu.com

News of of another collaboration between Westbrook Brewing Co. and Evil Twin Brewing has come to light.

The new beer is Maple Bourbon Barrel-Aged Mini Growler, a 10.5 percent ABV imperial stout aged in maple bourbon barrels. The new stout is a variant of an earlier collaboration between the two breweries named Mini Growler (12 percent ABV) that was first released in 2012 and has been packaged in 22-ounce bottles.

According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Maple Bourbon Barrel-Aged Mini Growler will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to both breweries for additional information was not immediately returned.

Sounds tasty. How do collaborations get distributed? Is it by only one brewery and its states, or by both?

I've never seen Westbrook around here, but I do see lots of Evil Twin.

Westbrook doesn't distribute to Iowa either and we have gotten the the regular Mini Growler stout in the past (as we get most Evil Twin releases here).

12 percent abv stout put in barrels suddenly becomes 10.5 percent abv?

I never saw Michigan Maple Jesus and we get a lot of Evil Twin here. I have a feeling that any of the Westbrook collaborations are out of the question.

Do you get any Dark Horse beers in FL? Michigan Maple Jesus was brewed and bottled by Dark Horse.

Then how do you explain the fact that Michigan gets Dark Horse (obviously) and didn't get Michigan Maple Jesus?

Illinois got the regular Mini Growler so I assume we will see this?

12% Imports handled the distro on Michigan Maple Jesus, not Dark Horse.

I found MMJ yesterday on shelves, so that guy obviously had no idea what he was talking about.

I doubt that I'll see any of the Westbrook collaborations though.

Interesting. For some reason I thought this was a Westbrook only (Brewery) release.

My buddy actually told me about it since he knows I love maple beers. I remember hearing about this beer and how it looked to be brewery only but from all reports, my city got one case. The price made my stomach hurt but did it anyway.

It's in NYC now if anyone is looking for it. $29.99 though is a pretty steep price.
