I've definitely never had an IPA that hit 10% that didn't taste like a hard liquor booze bomb. I don't think it's scientifically possible.

99 times out of 100 I agree with you, but the 3rd Anniversary IPA was the 1/100. Either way, not planning on getting any of these.

I think the past collab misses have them probably looking to make it right. I'm expecting and hopefully for some really great stuff here and this will be my first OH trip.

Agreed. I hate most IPAs that go past 9% but that anniversary beer was amazing.

The Streets by Trillium came pretty close to doing that. Great beer

Exactly. 95% of people won't stay away just in case one of these is "the one"

Most of this hobby is based solely around FOMO. If it was only about the beer, every DDH DMD and DDH Mylar Bags release would be insane since everyone knows those are incredible beers. But since they release them relatively often, they are usually quieter releases.

Last week's mylar sold out super fast and DDH DMD was a double batch last time iirc

If you don't think the lines are different for a hyped collab and a release with Mylar as the main beer, then we probably won't agree on my point haha.

I think the real question for Saturday is, when the line hits the end of Garnett by 7am, which way does it go? If back toward Centre, it is going to cause issues when it gets back to the taproom door.

I was wondering the same thing. This will definitely happen.

It starts to wrap around Court Street, I've been in line there once before...

Am I the only one that thinks all the beer specific tekus since broccoli (which was nice) have been very dumb looking?

Totally agree. I actually went back to see if maybe I was wrong about liking the broc one, but, for whatever reason, that one is the only one that looks good.

Yeah, cheese and cabbage looked meh, but I'm personally digging fully loaded baked potato look

The madness has gone too far. For real though - Other Half are the branding kings of craft beer. Take a step back and think about it. People are going to pay $100+ for a standard teku glass they can get at Wegmans because it has baked potatoes on it. Is there a forum for Whale Glasses?

I'm surprised they never released a cheddar / broccoli version.
