So if one felt compelled to 'max out' on beer (cans and stouts), glassware, and breweriana tomorrow morning, the total cost would come to $543. I sincerely hope that few, if any, of those in line tomorrow will be making that decision, but it is certainly mind-bending to consider that some people will drop anywhere near $500 on beer + gear from a brewery that will literally be releasing extremely similar beer + gear every single weekend for the foreseeable future.

I've always wondered how people who begin as fans or enthusiasts become cult followers of an organization or cause. I think I can stop wondering now.

 

I'm sure the people doing so are already planning to turn a profit.

 

You're not the first person to be underwhelmed by nuts.

 

But in all seriousness, drinking a Twigs now and there is something artificial tasting that is really rubbing me the wrong way

Rubs me the wrong way they've seen all this hype and try to get an extra $8 off each piece of gear. They're basically just setting it based on eBay world.

Mediocre hyped = sell for $60
Severely hyped means sell for $90 and we as OH make extra

Let me start by saying the limits are better. I'm so, so glad they listened to us. 16 of each beer is still plenty but it's a step in the right direction.

I love OH and their beer and damnit do I want that logo shirt but this is really sad. They have so many loyalists and fans and they make great beer, the staff always seems great when I'm there, but this just stinks of taking advantage of all the losers who just black market it all. The loyal fans pay for it. Literally...

 

According to one of the facebook groups....first person showed up at 9pm, with number two showing up 10 minutes later.

If you look up loser in the dictionary you'll see their face.

Maybe they'll get mugged overnight.

 

The line shares have already begun.

 

On the plus side for those camping out, unknowing passers-by may mistake their empty evening beer share cups for the coin vessels of a beggar and leave spare change. Could help put a dent in the several hundred dollars they'll be need tomorrow morning, as long as they can clean the sticky remnants of BA vanilla stout off of the coins.

 

I hope the Gowanus degenerates greet them tonight : )

 

It's odd and a bit annoying. But, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that someone posted the wrong price. Aka "no, the price is $30 not $25." And then 5 minutes later "crap! I meant $33". I really don't think they are jacking the prices because they saw excitement. Otherwise they would be doing that with their beers too and they have no history of being anti-customer if you ask me.

 

Pretty comical - both hat and shirt are now $30/each. Wonder if the price will change again before they open at 10...
