Anyone tried Abduction yet?

 

No but very exicted about it. I plan on picking one up today, and hopefully enjoying it this evening.

 

A bit thin for the ABV, but very tasty. It reminded me of Founders Imperial Stout, but not as thick and flavorful.

 

What happened to the Raspberry Berliner?

I too could not get past the rancid smell. I'd tried it at a tasting Pipeworks did in a beer store and while the cheese smell was there it wasn't that pronounced and so I bought two bottles. Opened the first one a few weeks later and the odor was definitely stronger and horrible.

Still, that won't stop me from trying the new batch. Pipeworks does great work, for sure.

We've received a good amount of response for the Blue Lady glasses. We've been hit with some unexpected bureaucratic poopoo that has us extremely bogged down at the moment... bleh... looking to get glasses printed at the end of the month now.

 

Should I return the bottles I picked up for you then for glasses?

Stopped into Highland Park Binny's this morning and picked up a couple of bottles. A woman was there in the craft beer section searching for a particular beer to buy on instruction for her son. She wise cracked to me "what ever happened to the days when you just went and got a 12 pack of Budweiser or Miller". I laughed and thought to myself that thankfully those days are over (at least for me).
I just cracked one open. It is very good IMO! Thank you Pipeworks!

 

So I went into Grand Binnys over lunch and they were already sold out of Abduction (sad face). So I picked up A Foolish Wit instead (happy face).

 

i didn't check that binnys, down the street from work, i figured negative based on their tweets. i did go to south loop's binny. picked up a bomber at about 530 and there were maybe 3 left. also got a sixer of expedition. yum.
