No not trolling just wanted to read some thoughts. No house or cellar and generally no patience to keep beer in the fridge. Do i wish I had an 2012 Bourbon County regular, Coffee, or Cherry Rye to drink today? Sure. But I remember the 2012 regular falling off a bit even at one year. The last coffee and rye I had was at about 2 years old and still the best beers I've had so yes, I suppose can think of couple beers that held up well ...

Beers that are made to drink fresh I drink fresh. I also have a cellar with a lot of lambics, quads, barleywines, and imperial stouts, which I both drink fresh and age. Some improve, some degrade, some just change and aren't necessarily better or worse. If you are primarily an IPA or lager drinker, then talking about ageing beer isn't really relevant.

I guess it's just a matter of perspective, because some IPAs actually do benefit from aging (SNCelebration Ale comes to mind...I love that beer even better 6-12 months down the line). Yes it changes character, and yes, from my view, it does get better).
Of course, having said that, I will also add that I recognize that one man's benefit is another's curse. :sunglasses:
And if you're drinking real lagerbier, that has already been aged anyway (if it hasn't, it's not a lager). And unless it's a very strong lager, or unless it is bottle conditioned, you might as well drink that it "fresh"..it's not likely to improve at all.
Bottom line: Drink whatever beer you love however you like it. There's no right or wrong (though it's very true that in some cases, "freshness" is over-rated" (and please don't throw empty bottles at me...it's just my opinion).

Celebrator, samichlaus are both lagers that hold up over time.

I just had a Rochefort 8 from 2012 minutes ago. It was ok so I'm sure it's not some aliens hovering the earth shooting sour-rays to destroy all of our beers.

    Lagers, by definition, age well.

This has come up so many times. Some beers definitely degrade with time, but some do just fine. Do they get better? That's up to you to decide! I personally have a good list of beers that absolutely get better with age. Abyss, Old Guardian, SN Bigfoot, Thomas Hardy's, JW Lees Vintage, numerous lambics, W00tStout, and the list goes on. That said, several go downhill. The beauty is that blanket statements are impossible, so the journey is exciting!

Some beers can only be bought already aged. So, to answer your question, I don't know.

Bell's Expedition Stout. Age it. Love it. And repeat.
