Good Morning and happy friday BA!
Up today is a beer ive long wanted to try and finally got to do so...Hardywood's Ruse..a delicious red wine barrel aged milk stout with plenty of that wine barrel presence as well as heavy amounts of dark chocolate and dark fruit..another top notch BA stout from Hardywood...Cheers!!

I really enjoyed it with the salmon at Sotto Mare in the North Beach section San Francisco.

Good morning and Happy Friday, BAs! The rain has destroyed all of my plans for today, so my new plan is to drink good beer while watching the storms roll through. Starting with this one from The Veil.

Already scheming on how I can get back down there. It's an amazing spot.

 

Think I'm gonna go get some Hamm's.

I don't have to work until tonight so AM beers are on my agenda.

I used to buy a 6 pack of this every time we would go to Florida on family vacation. Very exotic and rare. Now I throw a single in my mix six at the grocery a mile from my house. Who do I need to talk to about some Maduro in Indiana?

Success in my search. Curiously the only six pack available locally is 16 ouncers but, if I must . . .


Light, clear ginger ale color with white cap and lacing.

Aroma of clean grain and slightly floral hops.

Taste is very clean, this is a well made beer, managing to be flavorful without the heaviness in the middle that some AALs seem to have. Flavor is not really malty nor is it grainy but a blend of the two in a way that sings as a duet. I don't detect much in the way of hops yet there is a bit of floral in the aftertaste that finishes things nicely.
