Yes, thanks guys. I was trying to find some Guava Gose Smack in the city if anyone has seen cans anywhere.

Anyone near downtown have a can of the Gummy Banter brewery release batch ("Drink by 8/29/17") they're willing to spare? I'm hoping to do a comparison with the batch that hit distro yesterday, since they seem to be getting very different feedback and I'd like to see what it's like side-by-side.

Drop me a line if you're interested.

Been a big fan of the Gummy series. The batch with the best by date of 8/29/2017 is better IMO. I'll give the newer batch another shot in a few days.

Yep - @dukedevil0 posted this 5 days ago. Now stop advertising it so there is some left when I get there. (insert laughing and winking emojis here)

Really sucks that the first distributed Noon Whistle neipa and the first Noon Whistle neipa that I and many people will try is terrible. Really bad business decision for these guys.

Beer is completely subjective, because although it also was not my favorite gummy, many people have actually enjoyed it. I feel like I saw squishy get distributed too, though. I could be wrong. And that was a beer I would recommend. Not over FR or Corridor, but I would recommend in general.

Yeah, they needed Quality Control to step in here.

    That distributed version was AWFUL.

From the pictures I've seen online, the version that was released in the tap room and the version that was distributed were entirely different. Something went wrong with the second batch I would say.

Wow - "terrible"? I can only go off of the beer I had in the taproom and the cans purchased there, but I thought it was pretty good. I admit Squishy and Mr. Nice were Gummy beers I liked better, but all of my Banter cans were good.

For an alternate reference point, I had two 4-packs of the brewery release and two 4-packs of the distro release. I would say I preferred the brewery release, but only slightly. I didn't think there was a huge difference between the two. (Maybe a 6.5/7 out of 10 vs a 7.5 out of 10 for me)

edit: I should also mention that I had heard the reports of variance in advance of drinking the distro cans, so I was trying very hard to discern any differences. I'm not saying those reports weren't accurate, but perhaps the whole batch wasn't affected, or maybe those people had more sensitive palettes than me, or something.

I missed the last prism release and I'm getting them mixed up with the Gummy series. Are the prism beers more of a classic, west-coast IPA?

    The distributed version was terrible.

If the taproom version was good, it's even more of a travesty.

The taproom batch was quite good IMO. The distributed isn't the same. It's not bad, it just isn't the same IMO.

It was Citra, Simcoe and Ekuanot. Loved that last Prism release as well.
