Similar to the winds at the old Giants Stadium, the rumors are swirling.

I didnt get a reply from the keg request in regards to sneakbox, which has been on their list for a couple weeks now. if its on the list can i just go in a ask for one, or do i have to go through that form?

I was told last weekend you can just roll up and grab a keg. I also called earlier today, you can't pick up before 5, which sucks w Friday GSP traffic.

If the Finback collab is an IPA, is has to be this weekend right?

No, Kane isnt one to rush beers out like many other breweries. The collab with Aslin was an IPA, brewed on January 27 and released on March 11.

How does that shorten speculation? July '17 is more time passed than between September '15 and June '16?

Just curious, since you have sneakbox cans as an avatar....are there cans of sneakbox pretty consistently? I was thinking about heading up there tomorrow for some cans of that or Head High. I'd actually prefer it wasn't a big release like SB so I don't have to deal with all of the ridiculous line drama. I always get a good laugh at some of the disappointed folks at Trillium (for example) when they "only" have DDH Fort Point. Spoiled brats :grinning:

Yea, cans are pretty consistently available now. Here and there they will sell out but 8/10 days you should be able to easily grab them.

Kane has gone on record numerous times about their brew schedule and fitting things in when they can fit them in.. there is no pattern to what they do really.. at least not 100%.. vengeful has come out near valentines day the past few years anyway but besides that things don't always line up the same year after year..

people like rumors and speculate a ton because they are into it for whatever reasons.. it'll never end when there is good products being released.

The saturday release pattern Kane utilizes has gotten them now with a smallish crowd every saturday, the only way that won't happen in the future is to switch up the pattern in some way.

I hope they just keep doing what they do... think the only time I've got shutout was for Omna because i got there a bit late a ton of OH folks beat me over there.

Follow them on FB.. be ready for their 11:00 - 12:00 pm posts then drive over and pickup the release if you are free that day.

if/when they drop SB again they'll surely have 4k bottles or more.. They seem to make a lot of things they know have a lot of demand. The june 16 SB release didn't sell out till i think near 6 pm that Saturday...

Not trying to sound obnoxious but sometimes I wonder if some of these people have jobs and/or lives outside of making beer runs for trades...I can think of 100 better things to do than interstate beer runs on a beautiful mid-summer weekend....and I really do love beer.

For some it is there job.
Some people are "professional" line sitters and some make their cash on the secondary market

People were assuming that because it was released June '16, that it would be released june '17

So fucking ridiculous. I just spent 10 minutes checking the OH instagram. People waiting at 10PM for a release the next day. Perhaps one of the most pathetic things I have seen in the world of beer....

There was a ton of discussion about this in the OH thread. Apparently people can make a killing selling "whales". Even the OH glasses from last weekend were selling for $85+ on eBay.

I mean, I have a pretty strict limit on waiting in line, life is too short and there is too much beer to wait for hours for a beer. But some people turned this into a full time job..

Yeah, apparently whale slaying is still alive and very well in 2017 (I remember back when Pliny was a whale, now I don't see anyone talking about it...). Hey, it's not my life; if they want to spend their weekend waiting on lines that is their prerogative.

Hyped up breweries like Other Half (and Tired Hands for example) have themselves to blame for the insane release days. They could probably do pre-sales or something of the sort to help mitigate the long ass lines but at the end of the day they want people to freak out over missing out on beer so they hype it up by announcing how they will 'only have 200 cases of Quintuple Dry Hopped Asparagus cans' and how they're 'going fast!!' or some shit like that. I'll never go out of my way to support any business that drives up hype just for the sake of hype...

Not going to disparage a company hyping its products. I'm sure all of them are doing what they think is going to advance their business interests as much as they can. Or at least as much as they need or want to (like carton, who does a great job promoting, but refuses to feed the whale machine). So OH obviously thinks the hype helps their bottom line in the long run. Fine. But i won't stand in the line. Too much good beer out there for that, but good luck to them. I think the silent release with late announcement that Kane and carton do is the best. They know they make great beer that will sell no matter what. A few will line sit if that is how they think they can get the beer but not enough people to disrupt normal operations. And then on days they announce people like me can adjust schedules if necessary and get the beer with a relatively minimal wait (meaning i don't have to line up hours before open to even have a chance) or avoid the place entirely. Win win.

That's now how it is going. Every week the line has gotten longer as more and more people keep thinking "THIS IS THE WEEK".

And then add on the Finback collab. More speculation.

And then the label of BBA Morning Bell was found. More speculation.

I been there every week, it's not dying down.

Well that's obviously your opinion and you're clearly in the extreme minority.
