To be fair, perhaps my expectations were a bit too high. I heard that we were getting this super fresh right off the truck west coast IIPA, and had visions of some of the awesome west coast IIPAs I had had in the past.

Like a lot of things, if you go in with low expectations, you will probably be pleasantly surprised. If you go in with really high expectations, you might be a bit let down. Its good though, just not great IMO.

I had it on tap in Chicago so I'm hoping the bottled OH version is somewhat close because that was an awesome brew. That being said, really getting the feeling that Toledo got bent over on this one. They brewed it for only two states this batch and you practically had to be sitting on the distro truck to get some. It has been out for two days....and I'm already getting sold out updates from stores. MFer...last time they put it into the Chicago market, Jersey and SoCal....and you're telling me that between OH and CO, we can't get more than 15 cases in the whole damn area! Stop the hype machine with your special website and all the other bullshit surrounding this beer if you're going to produce such a small amount. When it was easier to get BCS yesterday than it is to get this today, something is wrong... Or did it all go to Cleveland???? lol

If anybody cares, they have it on at the Brew Kettle. At least they did tonight... not sure if it kicked or not.

FlipSide @ Easton in Columbus was serving bottles as of Thursday afternoon. Charged $10 which I think was very reasonable, and the food is excellent.

Seems like every store got a case. And sold it same day. I had a glass on tap at the brew kettle yesterday. I think it's a great beer. Not sure what more you guys want. It smelled and tasted great. It easily met my expectations.

sounds like this one is a victim of the hype machine. Probably a pretty awesome beer that could never live up to the insane expecatations

I don't care about the hype machine. I did once upon a time. All I care about now is drinking good beer. This is one such brew.

Drove into Ohio AGAIN this morning in hopes of scoring a bottle of Stone Enjoy By and AGAIN was shot down in flames. I had to ``settle'' for some Fat Head's Head Hunter IPA and a bottle of SN Southern Hemisphere Harvest Ale.

That's the best thing about great beers. There are so many of them! Even if you fail to find what you're looking for, if you know what's out there you never seem to go home disappointed.

    Hi,

The House of Wines, Devola/Marietta, OH, which has a great beer sellection, got 1 case and sold out during the lunch hour the next day.

I don't think it even tasted like beer! I gagged down about 10 ounces of it and will use the rest of the bottle an inch at a time to hop up the six pack of Great Lakes Burning River Pale Ale in my frig.

    Cheers, Roger, Marietta, OH

I think the thing to remember is that this is more of a philosophy than just a beer that Stone is really reaching for here. Speaking of the "hype machine", I don't think that this was just meant to be a special release (ex. Ruination 10th) but for them to better understand how and where people buy their beer and how it gets to them. A $6.99 price point says more to me that they just wanted to get a really heady beer out there super fresh while gaining valuable knowledge about how to provide this same level of quality for the rest of their beers.

Oh...and if you haven't yet, go Facebook, Tweet, email or Instagram #EnjoyBy #OH...we're currently down by about 100 behind Colorado!

    Prosit
