a case limit may have been a bit high... maybe 4-4 packs would have been a little more reasonable? <shrug>

That wasn't my pic from Moonraker. I am still stuck at work in Sacramento.

Traffic looks pretty gnarly to get over to New Glory on that side of town at 4pm.

Glad I skipped today, surprised it wasn't half that. Hope they learn from this experience going forward. I will stop going up for can releases if it becomes a line/chair necessity.

I'll be headed to New Glory tonight around 9:15. Would enjoy meeting any BA's and sharing a glass.

I've only been to three releases before and none of them involved waiting in long lines. Judging from what I've seen from this thread, Yojo has the biggest demand so I'm surprised they set such high limits. Maybe they have a cold storage problem? lol

They do have limited cold storage space...but they've been able to store more than 170 cases previously during multiple recipe can releases. I've never waited longer than 10 minutes, and that was during the Anniversary weekend which was to be expected IMHO.

I think they have learned, they learned that hype and quick sales make money quickly and get a lot of people talking about them.

I'm at New Glory now having Juicy Centers. I think there is plenty left. I've never had any of the popular Moonraker ipas so I can't compare. This is more light than intense, and while good, isn't amazing. I like Galaxy Juice more for this style. I'd take Citrois or Fidget Spinner over this but that's no knock. We'll see where this goes.

Update to Juicy Centers: New Glory was serving that in a Nonic. At home I opened a can and poured it into a proper tulip and the aromatics are much prettier. Floral/perfume and it does remind me of Galaxy Juice.

I also thought that Juicy Centers tasted better from can with a proper glass, but I still preferred the cans I picked up from Fieldwork more... especially Planetoid.

I'm sure you figured it out, but when I showed up at 11:45am yesterday it seemed they only sold outo of No Pulp. Still had some Eaststide Motel, Orchard St, Bean Machine and Planetoid.

Sea Farmer sold out immediately (they had 4 cases), but Fieldwork should still have Green Rest, looked like they had a few dozen cases this morning.

New Glory has a can release on Friday if you are a fan of their Porters. No limits.

WAKEY WAKEY OATMEAL COFFEE PORTER - Valiant Coffee Mexican and Guatemalan Roast, and vanilla beans. 6.5% ABV.

WAKEY WAKEY IN INDIA OATMEAL COFFEE PORTER - Valiant Coffee Mexican and Guatemalan Roast, vanilla beans, and chai tea spices. 6.5% ABV.

    ++++++

New head brewer Kyle Leddy also gave a sneak peak at their new NE Pale Ale. Turbidity. This will actually be Kyle's first beer at New Glory as Juicy Centers IPA was the outgoing Head Brewers creation.

I love Juicy Centers - I was under the impression that this was Kyle's first go at a Moonraker-ish beer at NG. Maybe Turbidity will be this? I'm interested in trying these porters also.

I was under that impression about Juicy Centers when I posted the preview a few weeks back. Turns out that Juicy Centers IPA was outgoing Head Brewer Cory's last beer with NG.

From New Glory Instagram on July 14th: newglorybrewery -TODAY STARTING AT 2PM, join us for the release of another delicious fruity and tropical IPA! It's also Cory's last beer brewed with us, and his last day with us! Come celebrate and wish him well on his future endeavors!
