went yesterday to berkeley, 4 cans no limit

eastside tho is fucking amazing, kicking myself for not grabbing more. looks like a glass of oj

 

wasnt impressed with eastside myself. Orchard Street and Virtual Planetoid were both amazing tho

 

Any chance there'll be cans left around 5 or 6 pm today? Have no clue how crazy their releases are.

 

they should, but it all depends on how much they made. hopefully with having soo many cans for sale at once it will make it last

although it did make the draft top 50 so who knows

I just got the last 4 pack of orchard Street in Berkeley around 3:30pm. Still plenty of bean machine and VP left it seemed.

 

Damn, Planetoid reminds me so much of Treehouse it's crazy

 

Coulda sworn last batch was clear... and that this was a west coast style.

 

I got a Crowler of this in the beginning of April and it was hazy then.

 

Just hit Fieldwork Sacramento tap room at lunch today. They still had Virtual Planetiod, Orchard and Bean Machine in CANS.

Also got Eastside Motel on tap. Tasting good.

It's much more west coast than Galaxy Juice.

 

After the Galaxy Juice can issues about 6 months ago I held off on GJ and GS for several runs. After the last few batches though..... I am back on board.

 

I'm having an Eastside Motel from draft and it's super juicy...much more than the previous batch, which was meh to me. At this point, it's worth it to try subsequent batches of stuff you didn't care for before because they might end up being better.

 

Agreed on Eastside, this batch is hazier too than the April cans I grabbed...perhaps a correlation.

While I agree on the subsequent batch comment to some degree, part of me says the QC needs to be tightened up. I understand ingredient batch variability, but these guys seem to have more batch-batch variability than most. My $0.02

 

Regarding Eastside Motel...my friend had it in Sac on Friday. Said, "this thing is sweet"

 

Agreed on the batch variability. While some beers like Pulp are fairly consistent, there are others beers whose recipes are either being tweaked (like east side) or have suffered from QC issues (like Galaxy Juice). I'd like to see a beer go up and know what to expect especially if said beer is being offered in cans.

 

I have to agree. These cans of Virtual Planetoid were GREAT. May grab a few more before they are gone.

 

what was the issue with galaxy juice last time?

 

green rest and galaxy sauce next weekend. pretty excited, i love simcoe and galaxy hops! might only do 4 and 4 if im able to get some as i have a lot of cans left over from this past weekend lol. altho more virtual and eastside wouldnt hurt
