Bottle Logic Brewing (Summer 2017)

Never going to a first day release again. Only went on Saturday to complete some trades and maybe get a couple pours, but I couldn't even enjoy the pours I got because the warehouse was like standing in a sardine-packed sauna. Big, heavy stouts and humidity/heat do not mix. Left immediately after power-sipping pours of FOMO and FO because the heat was making the beers go to room temperature quick as hell.

That being said, I have massive respect for the Bottle Logic team for the nightmare that is dealing with hundreds and hundreds of people in a tight space like that. You guys consistently have insane release weekends like this. You all must be complete masochists. Hope the team is resting well today after this weekend, because you deserve it.

 

That's what I figured but it wouldn't hurt to ask. I love going to Bottle Logic during the summer months but when there are tons of bodies in the building it can get pretty stuffy. It hasn't been real problem though, all things considered.

 

I have been in a few large industrial brewery buildings that did have AC, but it is rare you find one, especially if the brewery wasn't built from scratch, or else completely gutted and redone.

Ex. The Source in CO that houses a few eateries, cheese shop, bottle shop and crooked stave. Alesmith...but it is rare that they turn it on.

 

I bought a bomber of Recursion 9.0 and was very disappointed. It was a sugary-syrup-diabetic-coma tasting beer, could not finish it. I couldn't find a bottled on date, perhaps it was ancient?

 

The last time we bottled Recursion 9.0 was December 2016. Shoot me a DM, I'd love to get you a fresh bottle and learn about where you found that one!

 

An AC system doesn't seem feasible. But, you know what it is? Some giant-ass fans like at Valiant/Green Cheek.

Just have them whirling all the day, every day and have a little breeze going.

 

Anyone know if FO, NC and/or FOMO are still pouring today at 4:00pm??? I know I'm late to the game, so we'll happily take the leftovers

At least according to IG, all three were flowing at close of last night. I have to imagine FO will stay on for a bit but the other two must be drawing to a close if they originally anticipated them only lasting Saturday and Sunday.

 

looks like number crunch is not on the satellite bar anymore but still on main bar, according to their untappd page.

i commend them for keeping their lists updated on various platforms regularly.. this falls to the wayside for a lot of breweries and bottle logic keeps it a tight ship.

 

I'm a HUGE fan of Untappd and their beer lists ... that said, I'm not sure where you guys are seeing this "updated" information ... I'm seeing the last time BL updated their list was on July 15 at 4:32am.

I believe they only have the satellite bar during the first weekend of the larger bottle releases. Especially since they know they were in for a storm, but they are doing a great job at handling these large crowds. I wonder what the capacity of the back warehouse is, and if they ever exceed it.

 

Does anyone know if BL has wi-fi? Planning to go there tonight to get some work done and get some pours.

 

All three specialties are still pouring. I didn't expect FOMO to make it through yesterday, so I don't imagine we'll have it beyond Tuesday at this rate.

The 'On Draft Now' portion of our website is an Untappd module, so it pulls directly from our Untappd updates. How/where were you viewing the list when you checked?

There's a guest network called 'Tasting Room,' the password is bottlelogic. We closed it off over the weekend to ensure smooth register and Eventbrite check-in transactions.

 

Just want to confirm - so the guest wi-fi is back on as of today? Thanks for all of your help!
