I assure you, even with haze selling out by the end of the day on most of the past releases, there's been a large gap of time between when the long line is taken care of and there's just a trickle of folks who come in at a time that get their full allotment with ease.

Eh...I beg to differ. I haven't gotten a single hazy offering - when released on weekdays - as they have sold out before I'm even off work. I make sure to follow along on Instagram just in case.

I am with this, their hazy offering have had much longer lines and sold out much quicker. I got Neon and Good green later n the day when I showed up and waited like 5-10 mins, but the hazy can sales have sold out in a couple hours.

I've got one can of neon left in the fridge if you want to try it.

Welp, if you want to bury your heads in the sand and give up already, that's your business. But having seen it first hand, my experience differs from your guys perception.

I would try it, but then it will probably ruin my memory of how good it used to be. IPA's with 5 months of age tend to be the sweet spot! Mostly just sweet and a malty mess.

You said it yourself: lines do diminish AND releases do sell out before my workday ends. So in the span of two comments you've validated my initial remark AND douche-ily boasted my experiences are invalid. What a guy!

It bears mentioning that how HPB handles can releases is entirely up to them, and that's cool by me. They make enough awesome beer to keep me happy AND grant me early access to said beer. Can't ask for more than that.

Listen, I have no idea what YOUR work day is like, but given that the tent has been up well in to the evening and night time with plenty of cases left, the fact is simply the facts. Call it fake news all you want, but aside fro the first hazy release, the rest have lasted a good amount of time that anyone even with a standard 9-5 can swing by after work and get some.

Lines do stack up in the beginning but even after an hour, they drop and you could be faced with a maybe 4-5 person wait or even just find no line at all. All I'm trying to do is put some perspective out there from on-site eyes.

And they have been doing a variety of releases to try to cover all those bases. From weekend releases to friday at 2 and 4p releases. But again, can't please everyone.

Aren't they "alternative facts"? Because a fact by definition always has an alternative...

I try to go to as many can releases as possible and the far majority of them are either almost sold out or sold out within two to three hours of release (the releases usually being around 2-4pm).

I showed up within 2 hours of the Bonkers/Beer Spaceship release and they were down to four cases of Spaceship when I arrived.

While I certainly agree HPB handles their releases really well, I disagree that most releases go well into the night, and in the case of hazy IPAs, they're almost always sold out within the two hour mark. I've missed a majority of the releases due to getting off work at 6pm.

I'll probably miss this release due to FYF though.

Which Hazy release has not sold out within 3-4 hours? Even Yes lagged a little but sold out by 6pm. Typically their release dates are also monkish release dates. You won't see a conflict on saturday.

If someone wants to go through @EB1's posts he updated this forum on all the hazy releases. So, the truth is there. If someone wants to pursue it. I'm not interested. All that I know is the hazies at HPB go a helluva lot faster than the regular IPAs so I'll be there early if I'm around Saturday. Plus I know at a certain point limits were dropped on ALL the hazy can releases, something that hasn't happened on the regular IPAs for quite some time.

    IIRC:
Cloud Party - Sold out instantly
Wonder Cloud - Lasted Until 8pm ish. Possibly a case went to the bar, can't remember.
Ultra Cloud - I forget what time the release was, but I think it lasted about 3 hours.
Yes! - Unsure, was out of town. (@Earlycsquid )
Beer Spaceship (if we're calling that Hazy) - Out at like 7p ish give or take. (Also only 60 cases).
Super Cloud - As always, (minus Cloud Party which I'll take responsibility for underestimating the continued line growth and we set the limit too high and made the decision too early), we will determine the limit based on a complex equation based on the number of people in line before we begin to sell beer for the day.

I read the boards, and as a consumer as well, I always believe it's good to listen and read as much as possible to see what people are thinking about the current trends for beer releases. We hear you and will always strive to make things work in a way that can make the customer happy, but also fit within some of the limitations of our size as a brewery.

See you guys Saturday. Don't forget to order the 'dilla.

Thank you very much for that rundown. I'm sure that will help inform people's approach to the Saturday release. I'll be out of town but am already looking forward to my Sunday brunch 'dilla.

Kind of proud of how if you scroll thru Hermosillo Untappd photos every so often you catch one of my shots of just the 'dilla.

The main point I was shooting for was that folks shouldn't be dissuaded by the potential of shitshowness. Other than the first hazy can, the rest have had a heavy upfront, but once that rush was squashed, have had fluctuations in density including points where there was no lines at all.

Saturday release can potentially change that. But I feel like we were surprised once before setting it at a time/date we thought more folks would show up to and it not being the case.

Eb1 is very much on top of updating both the board and the instagram post with case counts.
