The event page says it goes from 9 to like midnight but if you read the actual event info it says noon.

 

Yes, but I'm sure that the page will be fixed since the taproom actually opens at noon (12;00p) to avoid confusion on the typo.

 

FB event page has been fixed; the event time is still 12pm as far as we know. if it changes we'll post it here. alottments are under discussion -- we do want to sell out obviously, but would like to spread it out fairly. not having done a release like this, we don't have a solid idea of what the demand will be.

 

will either beer turn up on draft around town?

I don't think anyone is gonna have a good answer for this question. This is kinda unprecedented for them. Their collab with Other Half lasted until the next day.
Honestly, I don't know how a line would even work here.

 

I imagine it snaking down to Atlantic and around to the train tracks... then we'll see just how strong the FOMO is when people have to choose between standing on the tracks or potentially being cut in line.

 

I'm really hoping that "line to Atlantic" scenario doesn't happen but that's a hilarious thought.

 

Heading to Gilgo beach Saturday. May try driving past in the early afternoon to see if there is a wait. Figure I should at least make the attempt since I am next-to-never in that area.

 

They are definitely beers I want to try but not sure they are long line/wait worthy, at least for me. Not everything Grimm and Barrier makes hits my palate. Probably will stop by around 1:00 to hopefully get past the initial rush.

 

These are IPAs with fruit added? Pass.

 

The proceeds are also going towards helping them finish the equipment both Barrier and Grimm were supposed to get from Metalcraft...so well, there's that if the beer isn't to your preference.

I think the fact it's Grimm has a lot to do with it. I'm going on a vacation in 2 weeks and it would be nice to bring a few 4-packs with me (amongst other beer, of course) but the Teku thing is just gonna add more people.

I've been to Barrier a bunch of times now and I've never seen any kind of a line.

 

I'm hoping there's no line but looking at the train schedule for those coming from New York, it doesn't really give them a choice...

 

Isn't there enough beer in Brooklyn?
