I found Slurm Lord at Meijer, having one right now. Definitely more balanced than Slurm, still some hoppy bitterness/burn which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

If you are driving any sort of distance to purchase a beer, it is good practice to make the call to make sure they have it. I certainly wouldn't just hop in my car and drive assuming that they would.

Picked up a 6er of Slurm Lord at the Meijers I work at. A buddy and I were walking the beer selection and were surprised to see a couple 6 packs sitting there....Like I have said before the one I work at don't seem to get the larger selection of releases Shorts pits out....Needless to say we both picked up a 6er....They only had 4 left....Westnedge, Kalamazoo store....

Glad you found some, thought that was kinda weird about the crowlers. I happened to roll into Bellaire right after opening and was able to get a crowler of Slurm Lord. Could be because it was early yet, maybe they were running low. Got a half dozen other pub only stuff too.

Gotta say I enjoyed Tunnel Bear as well. Besides Kwikreik and maybe Exeter, I can say the wild ales don't do it for me. But there was enough sour cherry notes to Bear that I enjoyed it, maybe the barrel aging took some of the edge off?

Enjoying the shit out of a Superfluid right now.

Shorts pulled a huge boner not releasing this in six packs this year.

Had to buy two sampler packs to get six of these. Now my fridge is cluttered up with too much Quickrete or whatever it is....

I've been digging S-Lord since I can actually taste some hops, but NE style isn't where I'm really at. I just don't see how so many folks are into these IPA's with such little bitterness. They're like training wheel IPA's to me. Just my opinion.

Pineapple Pils gets packaged on Friday, hopefully. I'll be crushing some of those for sure!

Or how about breweries keeping their website updated? It was still showing available yesterday too, haven't checked today...

It was 15-20 minutes out of my way, not a huge deal.

What time did you get there? We update the website within 4 hours so I want to make sure this happened.

I think if you gave us another try you may be pleasantly surprised. There was a weird 3 year period but Joe and I are now fully involved in all major decisions. I firmly believe if you look at where we are now versus even a year ago you would be blown away. We are now averaging less than 2 weeks from packaging to store shelves. (Currently ALL flagships are shipping to stores in Michigan in less than 1 week!) Our QC and consistency is at an all time high. Transparency is high, we are available to talk. Joe and I are out in the field every few days. Experimentation is rocking (try Ants on a Lager for instance coming to Summer beer fest this weekend). I feel we are back to the way things used to be.

You can ignore this. I see the error and am fixing it now and will make sure this is addressed going forward. Sorry.

Been loving being able to pick up fresh six packs of Huma, definitely agree that things are better these days, but I have and always will be a Shorts fanboy! Cant wait to try Ants on a Lager and the Mighty Shorse, both look amazing.

I love when breweries address customer issues like this head on. Good on you, Scott at Short's.

Thanks, that's why I called it "constructive criticism". Appreciate your response here.

Having the stock on their website updated necessitates someone managing inventory as well as someone being competent to update said website. But as you said, no big deal.

Did you miss the post a few above yours where a Short's rep acknowledged the issue, stated he will fix the issue and apologized?

I did, but I am just saying, I would never rely on a websites accuracy if I was driving to get something to carry out. It doesn't take long to pick up the phone to call and ask. I didn't realize that using your phone for its intended purpose was such a sin around here.

Understood, ain't gonna lie, I was thinking the same thing about calling ahead.

It always is a good idea but we will attempt to do better up front also. I already have a corrective measure in place and will monitor it over the next few events to check it is being covered. Again always bring up such issues as this was a simple fix to an SOP that will help a lot of people including us and consumers.
