Anyone at BL? @bottlelogiclindsay im assuming the tap lists on untappd are still good since I see people checking in FOMO still..is it crowded enough or not that I would get a pour if I left now?

 

It's busy, but nothing like last weekend. On Draft Now lists are accurate!

I think baby palates are usually lumped into new money. They're the ones aging kettle sours for a vertical.

 

Tried all 3 today. My thoughts were FOMO>FO>NC. I thought the coffee in FOMO was really nice. Really would've liked bottles of FOMO.

 

if there were 2 FOMOs (with and without vanilla) do you think youd notice a difference?

edit: I personally liked FOMO a lot but didnt think it had any vanilla i could detect

Me after drinking FO/FOMO/NC in Bottle Logic's hot warehouse on Saturday:

 

I ended up just doing 1x6oz and 3x 4 oz. Kicking myself for not getting more drunk on FO while i had the chance

 

I bought six pours for me, wife, boss and his wife but they got so pissed at crowd I had to take 5 full pours to the dome. Best part was wife wanted to leave by a certain time so I had to drink all 5 in like 15-20m

 

uggghhh. well at least a lot of it passed over your taste buds hahaha. the biggest problem with that is how cold they were serving the beer. I swear it felt like 35-40 F in the glass at first. all the flavors muted for a good 15-20 minutes

 

On Instagram Lindsay said they hope to have FO last through August, so if you're local to BL you should have another chance for a while.

 

Anyone happen to know what the next Stasis release will be? Is it Stronger than Fiction?

 

There was a BA brett IPA that was at the FO dinner that they said they might do a Stasis release on. If not that, could be the J Wakefield collab, Mxyzptlk.

 

Doh, not gonna make it at opening. Friends I am meeting there have quite the drive ahead of them. Looks like I will roll into the tasting room around 2:30 - 3 with a stomach full of Portillo's.

So @JayORear , our discussion about unfiltered = hazy will probably have to wait until the next time I am up north. =P

 

Portillo's? If the next words we hear from you are 'Italian (Chicago) beef sandwich' then you can almost be forgiven that weird dislike for guawk. Almost.

 

Hahaha...what if I say chocolate cake shake? Honestly, I didn't even realize a Portillo's existed out here and was really stoked when I found it last time. It made me feel like a kid again when I walked inside. I am a transplant. Born in northern IL, moved out to san diego in '91 and really never left, aside from college (good ol Milwaukee) and then the occasional trips.

But yes, italian beef, double meat, cheese fries, and a water.

 

Went and picked up FO bottles today, nothing fun about it. Hot and muggy, only one person manning the pick up station. Can only be grateful I didn't try to go on first day. Surprised no one has said anything about them gearing up to ship statewide along with their expansion.
