I'm right there with you. Lambda is really good for what it is, but what it is may be too much for my gentle sensibilities....

Yeah. They just load all the RIIPA into the bed of my truck. I then distribute into my face hole.

Yea they switched to Breakthru beverage. The beer guy at my local store doesn't see it as a good thing. Thinks Melvin will be much harder to come by.

Breakthru can move some serious volume. I think I saw on Instagram or the like that Melvin recently added something like ten 120 BBL fermenters. If they have the volume to satisfy the demand (it sounds like they do) then Breakthru is a solid choice. CSA has been solid for them but Breakthru is literally in EVERY account in the state. CSA (as the name would suggest) is artisanal. Breakthru is volume.

Our beer will always be "artisanal" but we never intended to be a small batch producer. We started the Alpine Megachurch with 10 60bbl fermenters, added 6 120bbls 4 months later, just added 6 240bbls, and have 6 more 240bbls on the way this winter. We want to keep producing world class beers for as many people as possible, and there are a lot of thirsty ones out there! Partnering with BreakThru in CO will allow us to reach even more of those thirsty ones...

Yeah my choice of words wasn't perfect. The beer is definitely artisanal. I guess I would describe CSA as smaller and more niche. Breakthru has a broader reach, which is good if you can produce enough. With those tanks you definitely can. Love your beer. Keep it up.

Exactly! We've had to drop several brands that Breakthru distros b/c they always seem to be out (i.e. concentrate on big drops at a handful of locations) and I gotta fill the shelf with something else. Unfortunately, Odd13 is one of them. Boulevard, too. Hope Melvin isn't another.

I echo this thought. Distribution is wild card and I don't envy breweries' decisions they have to make.

Keep it coming! My beer guy was just mad because Breakthru ran out of the first delivery of Drunken Master and didn't give him any even though the store just down the road got some.

Just hope the drops don't lead to old inventory hanging around.

After having some Hey Zeus a couple weeks ago, I'm pumped for a canned release. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Dready Copper, too.

Any chance of finding cans in the downtown area?
Do non-brewpub bars allow growler fills?
