Man, I bought a pack with a 6/29 date this past weekend and it was spectacular.

Agreed I had a few of the 6/29 batch last weekend and they were great. Have a few left that I'm gonna finish off this weekend.

Curious if anyone has tried the newest Bach of HS Cumulus and their thoughts on it?

Had Bendy Straw last night at Corridor. It was definitely good. But not great. A little too creamy. I think the lactose (or maybe amount of it?) overdid it for me. I'm also comparing this to cosmic juice box which was my favorite from them. But a solid offering none the least.

I'm wondering if it was supposed to be on the more milkshake side, based off of your description.

Yeah it's def sweet/milky/creamy Bc of lacto- also had it last night... had Radio Swan right after and that is dialed in perfect with the lacto.. either way it's still made well.. nice carb.. loving the Corridor stuff...

And on that note I sent out 3 Fade to Haze to beer friends... in my opinion that was least memorable Corridor.. all 3 said it was amazing.. to New Englanders and a Structures guy(their shit is fire) ... I knew they would love Snoochie(and they did) but I was surprised that all Loved the Fade ... awesome for both places...

But they are not billing it as NE IPA. Very interesting.

I get Solemn Oath and Spiteful mixed up all the time in my mind.

I'm not sure if that HA beer is really going to be NE style. They did use the English yeast strain in Plane Wave also. But count me as interested for sure.

To be honest, given that they've always said "NO THIS ISN'T AN NE IPA", I think it'll take a while before they give in (if they ever do).

Maybe they're taking the HB route, where they want to see what everyone thinks so as not to get burned?

(or maybe this isn't an NE beer)

I mean, if we think about what a lot of people consider the top "ne" style IPAs and pales in the country are (Tree House, Trillium, Monkish, Other Half, etc.), those breweries don't refer to their beers as "ne" either, they just call them IPAs or pale ales. Half Acre could just be avoiding using the term in general.

That's fair, and certainly possible (although I think TH and TR don't do it partially because it's redundant).

But East Coast Breweries do put West Coast IPA when it is not their version of an IPA. Generally, not always.

If anything it will be closer to Lawsons's / Alchemist than Trillium / Treehouse. Still dry and bitter.

Counting on it. I need an Alchemist replacement in Chicago, stat.

On my second glass of Strange Old Woods from Solemn Oath. I like it. Good first attempt at it.

Very, very hazy in appearance. Has some bitterness to it which I actually like, rather than straight juice. Mouthfeel is great.

I would buy this 4-pack (although $20 sucks)

Ninja vs Unicorn isn't quite there, but it's a damn fine beer, and not THAT far off. If you haven't picked it up in a while, i reccomend grabbing a 4-pack. I've fallen in love all over again this summer.
