Is this for real? I can't imagine the restaurant being happy with this at all.

All the bar seats filled up since I got here and people are drinking so they can't be too mad.

Yeah that's fine at 3:00, but turning away customers that want to have dinner later doesn't sound good to me. There is not much parking there at all.

that's nuts. I mean I haven't gotten to Troon yet as it's a little out of the way for me for just growler fills, but I have heard good things.

But putting out chairs 2 hours early for crowlers? wtf.

This is such a shame for Alex. I mean it is inevitable these days if you have the level of talent he does but this is likely not going to be a positive event.

I agree with you. The dinner crowd won't be happy come 5pm

I've seen quite a few cars come in and turn back out the driveway. Not sure if they're parking up the street or calling it quits.

This is definitely a bummer. I live in town and have been going every week since they opened. It's been nice to just roll in, have a chat and grab some beer. I knew this would happen eventually but this is gonna be a big change. That property/setup is not ready for crowds.

It's a reality that Troon was going to have to face at some point. I actually think the crowlers are a smart move to gauge possible demand for bottles/cans in the future, I just think the timing of it might be... ehhh, not so great.

Regardless, we all knew the day would come that this beer oasis would be sought out.

I do guarantee that today... at least one person in line or inside will say, "Wait, it's just a crowler!?

Up the street?? The nearest parking is like half a mile away. If theres people there willing to walk half a mile and wait in line for an unreleased crowler then i guess they truly do deserve beer more than i do. Ill just walk into my local retail store and pick up an imperial mexican biscotti cake break and a shape of hops to come and call it "close enough".

I haven't seen anyone walk up the driveway so I'm assuming they left and like you just headed the local liquor store.

I'm enjoying the 2 Troon beers that are on draft and the AC inside of Tavern.

Until 5pm and then the 2 new ones that are in crowlers are going on.

Gotta love the guy that bought a milk crate worth of crowlers.

On a brighter note they're limiting the stout to 2pp
