3 trips in four days, but posting on the site has been sparse due to lack of connectivity. I've made visits in past years too.

Ten10 The Shambolic mixed 50/50 with their EastWest IPA...

You have no idea how badly I've wanted to have the Shambolic back on tap. I had three pints of it. One just the Shambolic. One mixed 50/50 with their Grätzer. One 50/50 mix with their ipa EastWest (one in photo).

    Go local or bust!!!!

Good evening BA, happy Friday! Hope everyone is enjoying the start of the weekend. Was a real scorcher out there today. Supposed to storm later on into tomorrow. I developed a mild case of metatarsalgia in my left foot during the week(probably from all the cycling), but seems to be going away. I can still ride, but it's a bit painful to walk. Not that serious. Still did my usual 1-2 hours cardio today.

    Today's Reviews:

Slight gusher, but not bad. This was awesome. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart lemon, lime, pear, red apple, white grape, peppercorn, citrus peel, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, and musty funk; with some light-moderate wheat/crackery malts and yeasty earthiness. Large sized peppery yeast spice finish, with light lactic tartness. Very high carbonation and light bodied. Crisp, dry, prickly, foamy finish; with some grainy malt and yeast/hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Minimally astringent, very easy drinking. Funky as hell and very well developed Brett complexity. Carbonation could have benefited being a volume-ish less, but it's not detrimental to drinkability. A real burp inducer, though. 4.13

Delicious DIPA. Fantastic head retention and thick lasting lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate caramel, toasted bread malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; balanced bready/grainy creaminess and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Increasing resin/rind bitter dryness; a touch of hop astringency, but not overpowering. Very drinkable. Mildly warming 8.5%. Really juicy and lightly dank hop profile; nice balancing malt backbone, without being too sweet or heavy feeling. Really enjoyable. 3.93

Found another one of these, they are a brewery contracted out of Une Annee in IL. This was really delicious. Great head retention and thick lasting lacing for the ABV. Flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, maple syrup, molasses, wood, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of licorice, vanilla, raisin, smoke, charcoal, and herbal/peppery/piney hops. Similar but muted aromas. Light-moderate roast/char and herbal/piney/spicy hop bitterness on the finish. Mild carbonation and very full bodied; very creamy/silky, with some light sticky hops and chalky roast/char notes in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter/roasted dryness; never acrid or astringent. Very smooth, minimal warming 11.4% ABV. Not super maple-y, but solid. Seems to feel a bit sweeter and woody than their other stouts. They probably used real stuff instead of flavorings, they fully ferment out and such.(a plus if you don't like artificial tastes). Basically RIS levels of bitterness going on. Really well done, but I was more impressed with the other stouts I've had from them thus far. 3.91

Happy Friday ba. Telling work to fuck off and looking at another week of sweet vacation time. Working on this big bottle of stout. A tad thin for what I was expecting and the vanilla/cacao are a bit mute too. Drinking decently enough thou,

Next up, this goes out to my fellow Orange County brethren @Tdizzle for inspiring me to stop staring and start buying fresh canned Prima Pils. With a "Best by date" of 11-06-17, this is drinking damn nicely. Prost!

I definitely got the dank, resinous flavors more so than in the nose. Good beer!

    Sweet!
Now I'm pining for the Pete's Wiked Ale pint glass that I used to have.:slight_frown:

    I can't speak for everyone.

    But I will.

We all get stuck in these ruts and forget good beers of the past, never to buy them again. Maybe seeing them on tap at times and giving it a whirl again "for old times sake". Personally, I've been trying to revisit a lot of old favorites, Prima Pils being one. I've failed as of late.
