Awesome shandy! Flavors of big tart raspberry and lemonade; with balanced wheat/crackery malts; light herbal/floral/peppery rosemary; and yeasty earthiness. Light-moderate fruit tartness and bitter/spiciness on the finish. Light bodied; very crisp, dry, and refreshing; with some light balanced acidity/grainy wheat malts in the mouthfeel. Super flavorful for 2.7%. Definitely one of the best Shandy I have had. Great balance of pale wheat ale and fruit/lemonade. This, Melt My Brain, and Shorts Cake are in my top summer slammer beers for the year.

Fantastic wheat ale! Flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit, light honey malt balance; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light pine/grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; great bready/grainy wheat creaminess and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing bitter dryness. Insanely drinkable and refreshing, with awesome hop juiciness and vibrancy. Glad I got a 6 pack when I was in Ohio. I will definitely never pass this up if I see it again. Definitely might homebrew a keg clone of this to have though.

Insane IPA as always. Flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, guava, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate bready/light honey malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; balanced sticky/resinous hops and bready/grainy malts in the mouthfeel. Moderately crisp, increasing dryness, no hop astringency. Amazingly drinkable and refreshing for an IPA. Very vibrant, juicy, dank hop flavors. Just as amazing as the regular Born Yesterday for me. This has similar clarity to the 2015 batch. Last fall was more hazy/juicy. I love them both ways. Wish they made this year round. Mosaic and Equinox hops are my favorite. Looking forward to the regular fall release again. This is still around, but out of my way to grab on my normal weekly commute. May end up buying another 12 pack if I see it.

Awesome Red DIPA again this year. Flavors of juicy grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate caramel, toasted bread, and light roasted malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness. Medium-full bodied; balanced creaminess and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. No hop astringency. Light-moderate increasing resinous dryness. Very smooth, minimal warming ABV. The malt character feels more pronounced than it was in the original 750 batch. More caramel and creaminess; but I actually prefer it like this. Much more juicy feeling on hops. Will grab a 4 pack eventually, got another single for now. I have been buying insane amounts of Founders beer the last couple months with the recent seasonals. I love pretty much everything year round too, so it is hard to avoid.

I agree with your priorities. I would have done the same. However, if I ever get my hands on some extra Veil and Triple Crossing I promise I will send some your way. Assuming you are even interested. May take awhile. Hell, it make take a long while.

I have a harvest yellow Kitchen Aid mixer I got for a bachelor party gift 42 years ago that still works perfectly but is faded as shit. Good thing is it goes well with any decorating whims my wife can come up with:wink:

    Cream? Yes.
    Ale? Sure.
Orange? Subtle. But I wouldn't describe it as anything else.

It looks and smells like a "juice bomb", it doesn't taste like one. Still good though.

This pours a very murky, hazy golden color. The head was minimal when poured from the growler, but nice and white was the head. Nice carbonation bubbles rising in the glass.
The nose is really juicy. Nice hops, that smell like orange or pineapple juice.
The taste is not as juicy as the nose suggested. It's not juicy at all, but has a nice hop bite on the backside.
A bit on the watery side, but not too bad. The bitter does linger for quite a while after drinking.
Overall the taste was a letdown from what it looked like and smells like, but isn't too bad overall.

Very nice brew, interesting take on the style, never heard of those hops. My first from this brewery. I think I remember Dave talking about this place back around 2010/2011 before I quit trading and not visiting here that often. Than returning in 2015. Thanks goes out to @cavedave for the chance.

Very good! It's my first time with it. The raspberry is subtle but comes out nicely as it warms.

That sounds like it would have gone really well with the orange shag carpet and brown linoleum in my first house.

Always interested in RVA brews, yes! Hard to pick another city with a better crop of up-and-coming breweries in such a small area.

The Nor'Easter has picked up. Heat lightning illuminates the sky, tree frogs chirp in horror. The wind picks up. It's blowin'...

Much like @SomethingClever 's one legged three titted sister. The extra tit makes up for the missing leg, I tell myself.
