That is odd. I would agree being in favor of Treehouse/Trillium here. I wonder if they would do anything for you if you contacted them about the issue. Possibly score some free beer with some corrections.

I love free beer but not warranted at all for this really. It's still very enjoyable but am just curious if that's the desired intent or an actual issue. I tweeted it but nothing from them on it.

Fair enough. Hopefully with time this is settled. I plan to visit them soon as they are now much closer to where I am located.

I experienced the same issue with the most recent TB's. I actually found the taste way off too. I was told by someone that there was a C02 issue, which make sense, but that's conjecture. I did contact the brewery via Facebook Messenger, as I noticed they were "live," and they responded that they would be happy to exchange the beers for me if I wanted to bring them in. I told them I'd take them up on this, as the Simcoe beer was carbed and tasty, and I wouldn't mind trying the new one either. I'm still rooting for these guys, and when TB is on, it's really good.

Can't believe these dudes are still around. Very strange approach/business model they have. Not trying to hate, if people like the beer that's awesome. Always just seemed like there was something "off" about the whole thing.

Just stopped in to pick up some of each of the cans being released, only about 20 people ahead of me in line when I got there, line moved quick, in and out in about 5 mins. Excited to give these both a go this weekend. Oh and they mentioned a summer brew with Galaxy will be part of the next can release, yes please.

Yea, kind of been waiting for somebody to point this out. It has no head retention because it is really poorly made beer. Kind of a gimmick to me trying to cash in on the haze craze...not sure why anybody is hyping these guys...just my two cents.

To say their beer sucks because it has no head is just a slight embellishment, no? I get some people not liking their beer, but I'm drinking one of their brews right now, and it's mighty tasty. Does that mean I'm hyping their beer because I'm enjoying what I'm drinking? Come on now. Is it the best beer in New England, of course not, is it solid and enjoyable to drink, imo, it definitely is. Move along.

It isn't only the head retention. It has a horrible consistency, has "globs" in it (only large floaties if you are lucky) and has a burning, astringent aftertaste. To each their own but I just find it poorly crafted.
If you want to know about the origin of the hype go to www.ctmq.org and type search for Trailblazer. Not sure if there is any merit but seems to be a plausible explanation.

I would never buy the beer (lol is it even beer?) in this picture. If I want a tasty beer, there are plenty out there that are better than his beers, are consistent, AND they have a head.

Get info here, sheds a lot of light on this brewery. (more like a dark cloud) It is a shame, the potential was and is there.

At least we haven't seen complaints of it being green and fill of flour like paste. Lack of a lasting head seems fixable. I do enjoy the beer from the times I've had it but it really could be so much better still. I did not know the same brewer was involved with Greater Good. Have had a couple cans of "Pulp" and was expecting a hazy pulp looking beer was perfectly clear. Also had a head that lasted more than 60 seconds.

He's no longer involved with Greater Good. He was initially, but now he's out, not sure what happened.

Fascinating read. I haven't tried any of these beers so I can't comment on that, but I appreciate the take on the "scene" as a whole. The bit about not accepting a cherry pie with pits in it as "still being dialed in" was spot on.

Appreciate you sharing that, shady hype practices aside, I still hope they can figure out their consistency/quality issues. Would be sweet to have an solid brewery 10 mins from my house.

They released a new batch of Trailblazer last Friday (the 11th). Anyone try it and notice if there was any head/if there were globules in it?

I've only had good experiences with their beer but the people in this thread have me worried.
