Yeah, that's messed up. I was in Albany last night, but I saw an email from public safety about it this morning.

Already have both in the fridge. I love that porter. We first had it at a Stone beer dinner in Coral Gables last fall or spring. I forget which. I can't wait to try their version of the saison. My wife loved the DFH brewed version.

I ended up with a Tilquin gueuze that my wife said was recommended by some people she knows who run a great beer bar in Norfolk, some Sixpoint Brownstone and a few other assorted odds and ends that I haven't seen in Syracuse.

Where's there a good shop in Ithaca? I'll be visiting in a couple of weeks.

Yeah, I'm curious about the porter—not into smoked malts personally, so I didn't much enjoy the regular smoked porter but who knows. As a result it's not a top priority for me, but I'm willing to give it a shot. As for the Saison du BUFF, I wrote reviews on all three if you're interested, but the short of it is I think DFH definitely did it best.

It's interesting you found such large variation in the three. Now I'm really going to have to find the Victory version so I can compare all three. As for the porter, the vanilla bean one is a little sweeter than the regular. I liked the regular ok, but I thought the vanilla bean was quite a bit better, FWIW.

Oh, and looking at your reviews, I see you liked the Sixpoint spruce tip as much as I did. That was an interesting one.

Yezzir, I thought the Spruce Tip was a real interesting beer, and pretty tasty. As for the Saisons du BUFF, they were all pretty similar in profile but the flavors blended or meshed differently, I think. But yeah, DFH was my favorite.
