love coffee oil.. have to say the double barrel dark apparition was absolutely delicious. That beer has such a pillowy mouth feel and both barrels come through beautifully into the base beer.

Agreed--actually preferred the DBDA slightly to Appervation (and Appervation was an absolutely phenomenal beer)

Guys, @tepie , @neelonjm ,myself and some other friends were all planning a nice quiet Jackie O's trip this day already. Please just do us a favor and go somewhere else -- like your house, or whichever way the opposite direction is. These are not the bottles you're looking for...

    Thanks,

    For your help

All I wanted to do was casually drink some great beers and eat my fill of cheese curds. Now we have to fight with the heathens.

There's a satellite in orbit pointed directly at Jackie O's to handle all of the Untappd check-ins.

During these events, both locations fall into the top 10 in the world for those days, 90% of the time.

Sounds like Untappd owes you some money.

Speaking of which, anyone ever heard about the funding model for untappd? I assume verified places pay some monthly membership fee to have their stuff online? How do they determine how much a place pays? There are some really small places by me that are verified and others that are huge and probably make a killing that aren't. Was always curious. Oh and I guess there are some ads in there.

Had a buddy who owns a bar and he joined untapped a couple of months ago. He said you could pay by month or by year, with year being cheaper of course. He said they paid about 600 a month for the year subscription which I guess is standard pricing no matter how big you are. You can pay more to have your bar "recommended" more often as well as appear in those ads but he didn't remember what that cost. I guess you can also negotiate lower if you are a smaller place that doesn't do a ton of business and they just track your check ins/views to verify you aren't secretly the biggest bar in town.

Pretty interesting, thanks for the response. Always thought it was a good idea for bars with good selections on tap but might actually hurt you if your choices are all poorly rated for customers to see ahead of time and decide not to go.

Hey @beace. Maybe I missed it, but what is status of Hop Ryot? I haven't seen it around anywhere recently. The only cans I can find are from Feb. Did it become a seasonal? Need my non whiskey rye fix!

We just canned some today. There was a few canning's between February and now too. Ask for it, your retailer can get it. It is our lowest demand can so it only sees limited monthly production.
