Here in Chicago we like to invent our own inferior version of things and stubbornly defend them til the death ... hence deep dish pizza and sport peppers and a whole pickle on a hot dog

    Fixed!

Although I actually also love a hotdog with ketchup, mustard and onions, so clearly I have hybrid tastes. Regardless, we've got Vienna Beef, so the base of the dog is already the best.

Not really a fair comparison since they are very different beers ... but squeezit destroys bendy straw ... perfect bitterness and a balanced mouthfeel

I don't like the whole Chicago hot dog deal, but I will defend to my death, mustard, relish, raw onion and celery salt.

This is my new favorite thread. Going here Sunday night with the wife and it was "mini lobster roll" on the menu that got me the win in this instance. I'm hoping one of these beers you guys are pumping up makes it till Sunday but won't hold my breath.

Also I'll put my # of burgers eaten in life up against anyone in this tread. So will report back but I'll start by saying a good burger starts with a great bun and not over cooking the hell out of the meat. If they check those two boxes it's rare for cheese or toppings to screw it up too badly from there...

Just got back from the city. Squeeze it is delicious. Grabbed 6 crowlers and a Bendy crowler for good measure.

Bendy Straw might be the most crushable of the well done styles to come out of Chicago that I've had. I'm typically ready to move on to something different after 24 to 32 oz of the Ensure consistency NEIPAs, but Bendy has a lightness to it that I can put away. I can see where some of the guys and gals longing for more bitterness might not care for it as much, as the mosaic cryo really blends into a lingering hop flavor rather than bite in this. Very well done, imo.

Have had a few of the appetizers and one of the sandwiches and have really enjoyed them but still working up to the burger. I keep trying to make the Bar-mans special at 5:00 on Monday. It's a Beer/Shot/Burger combo for $15. Even if the burger is only passable the Shot and Beer should make up for it. I like Bourbons and Corridor has a limited but very nice selection.

Apparently the 4 pack of Crowlers he domed last week wasn't enough so now it's up to 6 packs now. I'll be in town next Thursday and was hoping to snag a couple crowlers of SqueezIt but it looks like JJH1018 is gonna fucking drink it all single handily by then.

Nah I got my fill! And these will be shared with some buddies. Although, I'm having one now and I won't be hanging out with them until tomorrow...

On a side note those four crowlers were Bendy. That was a bit less abv. I will however let you know if I end up four deep this evening haha.

So Squeezit straight from the tap is much different than from a crowler. I had it from the tap last night, and I just opened the crowler I got from the same night. The color is darker, the mouth feel isn't anywhere close to being as soft, and I'm now seeing where the astringent taste people are getting is coming from.

Maybe it's my palate tonight, but it tastes like a completely different beer.

I respectively disagree. I had one on tap this afternoon and cracked a crowler, actually two tonight. Same taste and feel. At least for my palate.

For sure - and as I was saying, it probably is my palate tonight. I had a tuna sandwich, so the fish/mustard/onions combo probably didn't do me any favors beforehand.

I do have a second crowler that I'll open tomorrow, so I'll report back!
